With Aiyuk on PUP and Robinson suspended, SF’s entire WR corps is:

Jauan Jennings
Ricky Pearsall (2nd year player)
Jordan Watkins (rookie)
Skyy Moore (sucks)
Jennings is very good and very underrated.

Well that seems like an even-steven kinda thing but how did they not say, ok? Player A & Player B...U like A, We like B. U eat $, We eat $. Shake OK? NO? Ok, U don't eat $, We don't eat $. Shake OK? NO? Nobody pass GO, U & We go directly to Jail. Take Chance card to get of Jail...

Exactly lol. It should be. But both sides are probably saying "I want YOU to take on ALL of MY guy's salary, and I ALSO want YOU to eat most of YOUR guy's salary, so that I end up with almost no dead money and you end up with all the dead money."

Jennings is solid but will he hold up as a WR1, and for more than a couple of games? Pearsall looked solid last year, but will he still look solid as a WR2? And then after them there's a whole lot of unknowns or crappy players.

Sounds familiar lol

If you're referring to NE, there's some parallels at the top, but the core difference is that NE's fifth or sixth WR is better than SF's third WR.
Point is we don't have a solution to their problem at the top either.

Good signing for them

Rashee Rice receives 30 day jail sentence and 5 years probation for pleading guilty for his part in car crash in Dallas in 2024. The 30 days in jail can be served any time during the 5 years of probation..

Ahead of Worthy? No!!
Not really but in all honesty their receivers are so bad.

- Xavier Worthy: looked good to but was somewhat up and down
- Hollywood Brown: mid
- Juju Smith-Schuster: lol
- Tyquan Thornton: lol
- Jalen Royals
- Nikko Remigio
- Jason Brownlee

I really liked Royals during the draft process, thought we might target him.

Outside of that I agree.
Brown, meh, overrated
Rice, looks like one of the best WRs at times, but knucklehead
Worthy, good and really explosive, but will be hold up?

I won’t even comment on the rest, bums.

The problem in KC is what afflicted the Patriots in 2014-2019. Always picking last. So what do they do? They swing for the fences trying to reproduce Tyreek Hill.

And the results are middling at best. Skyy Moore, Edwards-Helaire, Mecole Hardman.

But, they have a very good and deep team and just feel like they can try for home runs when no one else is willing to commit to a raw athletic freak (like a Tyquan Thornton).

If Brock Purdy goes down the 49’ers have no idea how F’ed they are.

I mean, Mac will def injure 3-4 D lineman after the whistle, but also throw 3-7 interceptions a game, and cry if someone steps on his foot.

Not true. If they keep Mac’s throws to within 3 feet of the line of scrimmage he could get them 10-15 yards per drive. He can also hand the ball off pretty good.

CEH and Moore were picked where they were expected to go, no swinging for the fences on those picks.

Hardman, I can’t remember if they overreached for him.

Swinging for the fences means choosing people with a very high upside, not selecting them before they were slated.

For instance, the mock of mocks had N'Keal Harry being picked EARLIER than the Patriots picked him. He was supposed to be a very big WR with speed who highpointed the ball. He was almost none of that. But the physical talent told us he should be something more.

There were safer picks to be made of people who were productive, but not as fast or not as big.

It's the same thing with the Chiefs. They are taking raw WRs with blazing speed. It's not a question of them taking those guys too early.

I don’t think CEH fits that description at all. He was a really good dual threat back for LSU, and was picked in the area most had him going. He was also seen as a safe pick due to his dual ability to run and catch. I don’t think that’s a swing for the fence high upside pick. Just my opinion.
