Patriots Player Departure OFFICIAL 2025 Patriots roster cutdown day discussion / tracker

With Stevenson and Henderson, you have two workhorse RBs.. I would expect both to get 20-25 touches a game and Gibson to be fighting to get 5-10. You put 2 RBs on the PS to develop and you can bring them up either as a game day promotion or as a IR option during the season.

Just remember that game day call-ups are limited to 3 per player, so it's not like you can treat PS players as a "free roster spot".

Why should I wait until I see fire. If it's getting hot and something seems wrong shouldn't I speak up?

You’re right, you should tell and scream that they are doomed every two minutes, that will really help.

Have anything useful to contribute yourself or you just going to complain about the complainer every 2 minutes?

I'm on step 1 right now. Identifying the problem. Step 2 is solving it and I did post a couple names in the notable names thread but I haven't seen a lot of solutions suggested there either. Which just highlights the problem further.

I expect one or both of Dugger and/or Bourne to be traded today. Possibly released.

Dugger released?? Wouldn't that be a Huge dead $$$$ hit??

Agree. I expect a ton of roster moves today and tomorrow

I guess it depends on what "ton" means. Right now I'm expecting 2-3 additions + corresponding departures.

I think so. I think there might be a couple of trades as well.
I’m not expecting much from waivers. Maybe no claims by Pats.

What I’ve seen looks like players that are PS fodder but not roster worthy. Expect our roster may well remain much as it is now.

If anything I expect a possible trade, with Pats selling not buying, once teams see what they ended up with after waivers processed. Maybe Bourne back to SF. Most of the trades where we would want to be a buyer already happened before cutdowns.

Half of them complaining "8 WRs?!?!"
Just wait until it’s still 8 WRs when the dust settles after waivers and PS signings. It will explode!

You can argue the bottom 20% of our roster is PS guys. Thanks to dog **** drafts the last 3-4 years that is the current state

Wonder if Wooldridge will make the PS or be grabbed by some team. Think it's 50-50

I’ll be surprised if it’s that much. I’m now doubting there will be much if any additions through waiver claims. Maybe FA signings but not expecting much there either. Most activity will be PS, for now. Maybe some FAs over next week or so.
