No one thought Baker had a chance for the 53 - if he did, he was smoking more than we thought.
He may have been a good PS candidate, but not if he pulls an AB and ghosts football.
I liked his odds better than Polk at least lol

So far I'd like to see these 3 signed...but that could change before 4 PM

- TE Gregg Dulcich
- QB Tommy DeVito
- RB Damien Martinez
I like the idea of those three but I think Jakob Johnson has just gone to the top of the list.

Question for the roster experts. Does Johnson , should we claim him, just take the RB4 route spot or the TE3 one too?

Yeah but he only played in 3 games last season and he's 31. I'm not sure he has the same juice.

I had Jack Westover as making the team but if Jakob Johnson gets claimed then Westover is probably gone.

At his age I doubt they want to use Johnson as a real RB and would probably have 4 other guys kicking around, though one of the 4 might be on the PS.

No need for an actual roster spot to be used on a FB. Run a d lineman out there to run block. Other teams do it.

I don't know how much juice a FB needs. If he can still block and catch 5 yard passes, that would be enough.

I'd be looking at DeVito as a QB3, but one who can eventually take the QB2 spot and be the long-term QB2 for several years.

Unfortunately the Browns will probably claim him or some ****.
I would have thought QB3 would be on the PS and only called up as needed. But sure, if they can spare the roster spot, that would be ideal.

McDaniels wants them to grasp the offense and be able to motion out as a receiver and stuff. If your defensive lineman is on the field then that pretty much tells the defense exactly what you're gonna do. Unless you're Mike Vrabel I guess. The Pats' OL is not nasty enough to get away with that.

I think we're gonna see them dip to under 50 with them putting in claims... Wouldn't surprise me if a claim on Cam Warren has already been submitted.
I expect we will not dip much below 53. We can put in a waiver claim today but won’t know until tomorrow if it’s successful. So I’m expecting we will keep some bubble players and they’ll be cut when the waiver claims go through. I could be wrong though, Vrabes may know he doesn’t want some players without yet knowing how he’ll replace them.

Still need a TE3 either way. I think Westover stays.

Mr. Happy is pretty athletic.

Was there ever any clarification on Ja'Lynn Polk's status?

First it was widely reported that he was placed on IR, then a semi-denial, with talk about finding the rats leaking information.

I don't recall it ever being officially reported.
He might go on IR DTR today.

Ryan Cowden was with the Giants last year. Might want to keep the Giants in mind for potential waiver wire guys, especially since the staff just saw them up close Thursday.

We got Seymour hurt once in the past doing that. So that's where the need comes from. But of course the simple answer is to find a back up DL or someone who isn't a future hall of Famer to do it.

We really don't know how the kicks went during the closed practices. There might have been hundreds of them.
And that terrible shank might well have been a snap issue.
Mighta, coulda. In the instances we saw which approximated actual game circumstances, Romo was better.
