I agree, but I was taking Bedard’s word as gospel that he “made it” and it’s not just shell game time. Bedard shouldn’t say for sure someone made it without using that qualifier, unless he knows for sure they won’t cut him regardless.

I hate decisions obviously based on draft position. Teams say it's based on merit, but push come to shove they tend to cover their asses by keeping their mistakes on the roster. It's ********.

We really don't know how the kicks went during the closed practices. There might have been hundreds of them.
And that terrible shank might well have been a snap issue.

Yeah I expect if there are any surprise cuts that it will actually come tomorrow after waiver claims are awarded.

Getting to 53 doesn't look to bad but if we get awarded a few waiver players then it could get interesting.

Kobee Minor made it? Ugh, didn’t like what I saw out of him in the games, just doesn’t look anywhere close to being ready. PS absolutely, give him a chance to grow. But 53 and getting to play now? Not yet. And not worth crying about if he gets claimed.

Just his speculation that the Pats will keep 6 CBs. It's just as likely that Minor will be waived.

My guess is it'll be 1-2 players, tops.

Remember when Belichick claimed two WRs at cutdowns? One, Chad Hansen, didn't play a game and was waived about two weeks later. The other, Amara Darboh, failed his physical. And to make room for these wastes of space, Belichick put Ryan Izzo on season-ending IR.

A marginal upgrade in talent may not be worth the loss of time learning the system. A clear upgrade in talent, however, would be.

Were we watching the same player? Vederian Lowe qualifies as neither “decent” or “quality “ tackle depth.

I think he is.

While Lowe might be one of the worst frontline starters in the NFL, there are far worse backup swing tackles.

Look at who has been here and still has a job in the NFL.

Easy to guess that now, but at the time he was a rising prospect with one of the highest RAS scores in history who dominated the Shrine Bowl practices coached by NE coaches. He could easily have gone in r2 before we picked again. He was a starter his rookie year. And he was the 29th pick, not the 10th or whatever, and many picks in that range don't work out.

He went in the first round obviously because of the Shrine Bowl and Belichick and others watching him up close.

But based on his position, saying he would be a late second day pick isn't exactly a knock on him nor that much lower than what you are say when you say he could have gone in the second round.
