Agreed, but I don’t think it would be feasible to have great friends in direct competition with each other.

You think Sam would be upset because Drake makes more? At this point one would think Sam knows he's a career backup. So, would he like to make his $1.1M this year playing with his good friend? I would think he would.

No I certainly don't think it would automatically be a problem and likely the opposite they'd work well together since they have before.

but just acknowledging that money could change the competitive dynamic a little not that he would think he should start over him but the distribution of reps still impacts his ability to grow and potential future earnings. Nevermind if Maye started struggling or got hurt and Howell starts wanting to see the field.

Anyway that was just an after thought my point really was that as friends I'm think they'd compete just fine very likely to the benefit of each other.
