I think Wallace and Lowe stick on the 53, with Strange and Jacobs and perhaps one guard (probably Conley or L.Robinson) going to PS.
I agree. Though I feel considering the depth , strange might make the team too .
Campbell, Wilson, Bradbury, onwenu, Moses

Lowe, Strange, brown, Wallace , Bryant

And they might keep just 6 wide receivers and probably put Bourne in IR-DT slot.

We might just pick up a backup QB from waiver wire.

Sow played well in 2023.. Yes. he regressed each of the last two years. Not sure why. Could be 3-4 different O-line coaches. Lack of Confidence. Lack of heart. Who knows.

Yes. He looked bad last night. Which is what led to his release.
Yes, 2003 Sow would make it as a RG.

I think that we expect players to be as strong after injuries. Sometimes, that simply isn't the case.

Are waivers on a rolling basis based on when a player is released or do they all go into the waiver pool for Wednesday? In other words, do teams have to wait until Wednesday to pick up released players on waivers even though they're released today?

I don't know if this has been correctly answered, but it's 24 hours from when cut.

There is no wait beyond.

BTW, I was listening to SiriusXM's NFL radio a little while ago, and they had their "2-Minute Drill" on league news. The final line was a "throw-away": "The New England Patriots released [X]."

I'll give you three guesses which one player they named, and I'm about 99% sure you'll be wrong.

This sounds like clickbait

It's funny how these stories come out in retrospect because at the time, everyone said the Patriots needed a tackle and were focused on drafting a tackle.

But then 6 tackles were taken before the 21st spot, and we traded out.

These were the stories from the very guys coming up with this stuff now.

Of course, all of those tackles were awful and almost everyone except for McDuffie who went after the 21st pick also flopped. The 2nd round was just as big a disaster.

It's curious that this story comes out about the 1 guy who actually turned out to be a good player.

The Bills passed on McDuffie also and took Elam instead.
I recall everyone following and covering the team here and everywhere was doing backflips when McDuffie fell to us.

Not sure I'd call that retrospect.

Kyle McCord, vying for third string QB with the Fecals, might make an interesting addition in NE.

He really came into his own at Syracuse after his 11-1 struggle at THE Ohio State University.

The amount of draft capital expended on tight ends , wide receivers , offensive linemen and second round cornerbacks is baffling.

Wide receivers

Nkeal
Thornton
Polk
Baker

Pop and Boutte being only decent ones and when we took a flyer in 6th round

Offensive line

Wynn
Strange
Jake Andrews
Steuber
Froholdt
Sidy sow
Robinson
Caeden Wallace

CB

Joejuan

Not listing others like Cyrus Jones, duke Dawson etc. and other flop CBs who were drafted prior to 2019

Marcus Jones - above average.
Stud gonzo -- just got lucky . If commanders took him we might have let go another first rounder.

Tight ends

I don't even remember the 2 folks drafted in 2020 and then add jaheim bell.

It will take another 3 years for us to find a semblance of identity I guess.
Asiasi and Dalton Keane

If the Pats can get Washington they def should.

Dude was an absolute stud at UGA.

He’s also massive and could probably add 25 lbs and play tackle to be honest.

Physical freak.

Exactly. In real time everyone wanted Mcduffie
Fact

I think there'll be some trade action across the league this weekend, as teams try to secure rights to likely cut candidates that have some demand. Low value trades, like flipping a 6th in exchange for a 7th + the player.

I will say, personally I was really hoping that Jordan Davis would fall to us. The Eagles picked him instead. He’s been a nice player, but hasn’t had the impact I thought he would to this point.

I knew the Eagles were taking him.
I said it to all my eagle fan friends I was shocked when they didn’t take Barmore and I was surprised they took Hurts.
Not that them skipping on Barmore went bad for them they got maybe the best Guard in the NFL.
