Much closer with Micah.Weird response. You think the Patriots are a Super Bowl contender?
Micah Parsons fills one need at a huge premium price for the next 4 years.Much closer with Micah.
But ultimately like everyone we go as far as our QB takes us. And waiting for that to be perfect before making moves like Micah doesn't seem like the best team building philosophy either.
And where will be your way if we get both picks wrong?Micah Parsons fills one need at a huge premium price for the next 4 years.
2 first round picks fill two needs for cheap money for the next 5 years.
For a team that's not winning a super bowl this year, or next year, and will not be picking in the 30s, it doesn't make a ton of sense.
A single first round pick? I'm still not in love with it, but at least I can support it. You're mortgaging your future for a non-QB making QB money for the next four years if you do what you're suggesting.
Bad. If you totally blow first round picks you're ****ed. It should never happen. And where will be your way if we get both picks wrong?
You said it yourself we need talent. We're talking about one of the most talented players in the league. Proven and still 26. You're not in a place where you should be turning down talent like that.
That's where I am. Maye needs to be paid, assuming he develops into a top 10 QB. Gonzo needs to be paid. That's a chunk of your cap. Now add Parsons, but on a short deal? Nah. I want him locked up until he's 32-33 years old. Even then, they get (in theory) two top end starters in '26 and '27 on rookie deals, while filling out the roster with other talent. Without the picks, I have Parsons and a middling offense where league rules are stacked against the defense.Micah Parsons fills one need at a huge premium price for the next 4 years.

Your faith in the draft is misguided and not in line with what generally happens.Bad. If you totally blow first round picks you're ****ed. It should never happen.
They don't need to be superstars, they need to be starters and fill holes. Micah Parsons fills one hole. Makes the entire defense better as a result, but it's just one guy. One guy who's going to be making insane money, and you've got to pay your QB going forward, and Milton Williams is already making huge money for the next 4 years.
Think of it this way. You get Micah Parsons. Maybe he puts you over the top and you get a 6-seed or something this year. Next year, when you still have holes to fill at WR, at TE, at CB, at RT, you're gonna let the first 50 players go off the board the next two seasons.

I'm not surprised you didn't like the signing, at this point I'd only be surprised if you liked one. You should know me well enough to know that isn't what I meant. Davis is a vet, the Pats did bring him in. Do you want them to bring in another veteran corner for you to piss on? I mean there's @ 90 guys and an entire front office available for your urinating pleasure, why you specifically need another vet corner for it as opposed to the guys that are already here is what I was wondering
Averages are misleading as they include players who fail because of injury and organizational instability (there are a lot of Layden Robinson’s in those numbers; players selected to play a certain system only to have that coach fired and a new coach with different system installed).Your faith in the draft is misguided and not in line with what generally happens.
NFL Draft Pick Bust Rate Remains Very High
More analytics haven’t increased the success ratewww.dailynorseman.com
Readers note- “What the ****” is as eloquent as I get. I’m no Maust.
It was literally the first article on the subject when I googled feel free to offer whatever else you have on the subject.Averages are misleading as they include players who fail because of injury and organizational instability (there are a lot of Layden Robinson’s in those numbers; players selected to play a certain system only to have that coach fired and a new coach with different system installed).
Drafting should not be a crap shoot for an established organization such as the Patriots having been run by the same exec and coach for 20 years.
LOL the Raiders were the first Franchise he owned.Brady should do well in his ownership position. He’s had 23 years of experience in cities/towns such as Pittsburgh, Buffalo, East Rutherford, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Oakland, Chicago & San Diego.
Yeah that's me, an eloquent mf'er.
That 'for your urinating pleasure' line was like freakin' Shakespeare or some **** wasn't it?
