As far as Chism, I’m pretty sure Tom Curran mentioned he got “dinged up” during the Vikings game. Williams probably got a concussion trying to catch another Dobbs hospital ball.
The preseason is the only time I hope Dobbs plays.. but you know what he's better than Brissett!

I have seen probably 15 posts from you trying to convince us here that Landon Jackson dominated Campbell in their matchup, so I looked online to see whether there was anything supporting this. I found something thst showed their entire matchup from last year, including the play you have posted here and several other times. There were 36 plays in which Jackson lined up,against Campbell. Jackson didn’t get a sack on the play you keep showing or screenshotting, or any of the other 35 pays I saw on that tape. He got zero (0) sacks, one (1) hit, and one (1) pressure on the QB that game when going against Campbell.

This is why people remain unconvinced by your many many posts on this topic.
Thank you AQPE

I hate to say it, but it's time to get real about this offense & Maye's apparent weakness in it.
It has been a regular report out of camp that Maye does not throw to WR's much. His completions today are only TE & RB. Short middle, or dump off's. That's even more concerning since Gonzo hasn't been practicing, nor Davis for most of camp.
Either that's because the OL is collapsing too quick, or Maye isn't reading stuff quick enough to see WR's on time. Both are super discouraging. And Maye's little time in the games has proven that out. Dan O did a great film review of Maye not seeing and/or not pulling the trigger on wide open receivers - instead holding it, and scrambling. Not good.
Perhaps some perspective will lessen your concern. Based on reports from the practices, Vrable has used a high percentage of the most competitive practices reps working goal line scenarios. It makes perfect sense given the strict rules and limitations on practice teams now face. I commend Vrabel for doing this as it puts the team under the most duress and urgency during their competitive parts of practice.

That said a QB’s completion percentage is going to be much lower in a 7 on 7 or 11 on 11 rep when the QB is trying to complete passes in the red zone than out in the middle of the field.

We’ve not seen enough of Maye in 2 limited preseason outings or in the passing statistics from today or any day to jump to conclusions. I’m a skeptic by nature and am certainly not sold on Maye. But, I don’t think TC reports or daily completion percentages tell us anything.

IR DTR maybe otherwise very doubtful
I keep seeing people using this designation, but the designation is not applied when the player is placed on IR but rather when the team decides to start a practice window in hopes the player can return to the 53 man roster. I think people are confusing it with the fact that a player placed on IR before the cutdown to 53 can not later be activated off the IR.

“In the NFL, players on the Injured Reserve (IR) list can return to the active roster after a minimum of four games. Teams can designate up to eight players to return from IR during the regular season, and potentially two more if they make the playoffs. A player can be designated for return twice during a season, but each instance counts against the team's limit. Once a player is cleared to practice, the team has a 21-day window to activate them or place them on season-ending IR.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
  • Minimum Time on IR:
Players must spend a minimum of four games on the Injured Reserve list before being eligible to return.

  • Designated for Return:
Teams can designate a limited number of players to return from IR during the regular season and playoffs.

  • Regular Season:
Teams can designate up to eight players to return during the regular season.

  • Postseason:
If a team makes the playoffs, they can designate up to two additional players to return from IR, for a total of ten.

  • Multiple Returns:
A player can be designated to return from IR twice during a season, but each instance counts as a separate designation against the team's limit.

  • 21-Day Window:
Once a player is cleared to practice, the team has 21 days to activate them to the 53-man roster or place them on season-ending IR.

  • Active/PUP vs.” Reserve/PUP:

This ^ is what fans don’t realize about practice. They put players in difficult situations so they can work on them. First down from the twenty is not challenging.

Lowe played both RT and LT against Minnesota in the preseason game. I am convinced based on watching them play that Bryant is better than both Lowe and Jacobs.
Bryant is the better player of the 3. He could possibly start next season depending on how he plays in 2025. I would still draft a RT in the 1st 3 rounds in the next draft though.

Suddenly we may have a little depth at tackle.

I think Jacobs is a Jag, but Lowe at the 4th tackle is better than most teams have die tackle depth.

Honestly you guys need to chill out. I don’t know what your expectations are but It seems like that if Maye isn’t perfect and isn’t the best QB in the league every practice, the sky is falling.

By all account, Maye and the passing offense were great against the Commanders in the joint practices. That he was good against the Vikings and that the protection what’s what held the offense back in the joint practices against the Vikings but when Maye had time he was good.

Maye threw plenty of balls to WR during camp. All his completion in the game against the Vikings were to WR. I don’t really know what your are talking about.

Maye little time in game is exactly why we shouldn’t try to make too many conclusions. Maye is a 2nd year QB that is still learning. He’ll miss read. That’s normal
