Excuse me, could you summarize New England sports fans? Imagine 16 pages of arguing posts about a 3rd string rookie QB after being traded away for a pick worth a bag of nachos with a pick worth an empty bag of nacho crumbs.

Ugh, nevermind.

You forget that the Milton talk started out with State and Sam Bam lauding Milton and calling trading him “ Vrabel’s biggest mistake.” So yes, we are going to pile on now that he’s being exposed as the ****ty 4th string QB that he really is.

Had he had the humility to recognize how much work he needed to put in to become a legit starter it might have turned out differently, but his head was simply too big to handle that truth.
State was also a huge Rattler fan
Sucks at projecting QB’s

Well it is a messageboard after all...

Cowboy fans are calling for them to trade for another back up.
I had to see what was being discussed so I checked out cowboys zone.. They are already mostly done with him.. A few people trying to make excuses or say give him more time but most saying he's not even qb3 material and Jerry getting fleeced for another bad player

How can giving up a 6th rounder be a fleece?

False. Straw man argument.
Not false.

Not a strawman argument.

5 months ago, when I was saying Milton's value wasn't any different from last year so the Patriots would get a 5th/6th rounder for him, I had to deal with several sarcastic (and idiotic) "gee, there could never be a successful 6th round quarterback around these parts!!" responses.

Just take the L and don't make me repost them here.

Meh, it's all a matter of the lens you look at it through. There are 19 pages arguing the value of a serviceable pro like Mack Hollins to a team bereft of reliable WR's that went 8-26 the past two seasons. Another thread with 17 pages on non Patriot rookie Josh Simmons being 'The Steal of The Draft' who'd played all of one preseason game. At least Milton spent a season here and actually took the field in a regular season game. If you use the aforementioned two threads as a measuring stick, 16 pages is completely reasonable. Like I said at the beginning, perspective

The summary of New England fans is because this past spring we had something lik 20 pages of people arguing what he is worth.

Now that his worth is becoming more and more clear, those of us who were right are gloating and those who were wrong are desperately backtracking.

I’ll take the L on Milton. I thought he might actually be a capable professional backup QB. He’s actually terrible.

And that is how it's done, own it and move along. OFC that isn't how we get to 50+ page threads but it is refreshing

Never admit to being wrong though, Sam is just the same. Makes it difficult to have a dialog with them. They are just interested in the sound of their own voice (so to speak)

That brings it back to my "office politics" comment. He was a 6th round pick and they just drafted Maye with the 3rd overall pick. Who did he think the Pats wanted to be the QB? Unless Maye was holding out, injured or playing Trey Lance poorly, Milton was entitled to think the Pats were going to roll the red carpet out for him. Speaking of Trey Lance, even though he was so bad, the 49ers still pushed for him to be the starter.

I agree. He was drafted as a project but thought he should be the starter, tough ****, read the room.
