The dollars mean little if there is a decision to move on. Judon has dead cap hits of 7.9 million last year and 2.3 million this year. Smith-Schuster was 9.6 million in 2024 and 2.6 million in 2025. There’s more than one reason to keep a player but being hell bent over keeping one over several million isnt high on the list. It’s par for the course to take on dead cap and teams regularly choose to vs. always being locked in on every deal.Dobbs was fully guaranteed $3.8m when signed
Dobbs cap hit this season is $2.9m. if he is cut his dead cap hit is $2.7m this year and $1.05 next year
he is not going anywhere.
