Rob Gronkowski will replace Jimmy Johnson on Fox NFL Sunday

Would Gronk and Brady announcing the same game be whatever the opposite of hall of fame quality is?

That's amazing for Gronk. I'm guessing that's over 1M per year, which is unbelievable relative to the amount of actual work that goes with it (basically free money). And he'll love doing it. Tip of the hat to our boy.

Do folks still watch pre-game shows? I got **** to do until 1pm.

He's far from perfect in front of the camera, but at least Gronk has had a couple of seasons of practice on a part-time basis.

It's about time they get younger.

Why Terry Bradshaw wasn't put out to pasture years ago is one of life's mysteries; he should have been shown the door before Jimmy Johnson. Bradshaw is constantly stumbling over his words, even when he is staring down, reading them off a monitor.. The 'fun old buffoon' character is tiresome and overdone; his interviews are cringeworthy.

are you talking about Bradshaw or Gronk?

Jimmy Johnson is sharp as hell, or at least was. Gronk is an incredibly talented buffoon.
My apologies. The post said Jimmy Johnson and I read Terry Bradshaw. No idea why. JJ is sharp, you are right, but not a great TV personality IMO. Gronk might get better in the role like TB12 did over his first season.

All the more reason they should have rid themselves of Bradshaw, as opposed to Johnson.

Each person has a role on the panel, and Gronk fills that Bradshaw-buffoon character perfectly.

Which begs another question: when Fox does their halftime and post-game shows, why do they insist on selecting the one person from that group with the lowest IQ and worst speaking skills, to attempt to talk quickly while provided the voiceover to highlights?

I find the Fox halftime show incredibly hard to watch

Remember when Gronk wore his purple Barney suit on his Fox debut?

It was over sized like a MF. You could fit another person inside a pant leg.
