It's easy, and only takes a few moments. Not over Diggs my friend: we hope his ceiling is a poor man's Diggs: who can beat #1 and destroys #2 coverage. Remember when we thought JC Jackson was very good Diggs brought him back to earth.I think Boutte is going to make the Troy-Brown-jump more than Pop or Diggs.
Those 2 will probably be similar in numbers - like around 60-70 catches, ~750yds. (Diggs will draw a lot of coverage)
But Boutte could jump from his 43 to in the 80's, and surpass them both as the receiving yards leader (~900)
Whether it's Hollins, Williams, Bourne - they'll sprinkle in with ~20 catches.
The TE's & RB's will have a good amount too & probably getting the bulk of the pass TD's.
Oh I remember that game. Did Diggs end up with 3tds? Maybe is just 2. One thing for sure JC didn't stand a chance in that game. Not over Diggs my friend: we hope his ceiling is a poor man's Diggs: who can beat #1 and destroys #2 coverage. Anybody seen this move from Ja'Lynn Polk??
I thought the same watching it. He does not look "sudden" at all to me.That was smooth, he just does not look very quick to me and I feel like thats a problem. Having said that though, I realize there have been numerous success stories of players with Polks skillset/there lack of.
You just brought a player back my memory when thinking about Polk's skill set: Malcolm Mitchell. It's a shame that bum knee cut his career short: but yeah Polk's ceiling could be Malcolm Mitchell. That was smooth, he just does not look very quick to me and I feel like thats a problem. What if he's going against #3 CB or a nickel set: not every CB in that set is lockdown. I think Josh can scheme him open. Let's give Polk the benefit of the doubt: the guy started his career with my a joke of a QB and HC. I think there's sometime there.I thought the same watching it. If he can pass protect, which he can, then he’ll play, early and often.McDaniels don't usually play Rookie RB's early: seems like Henderson is going break that trend. McDaniels is not bringing along this Rookie RB slowly: really hope Henderson lights a fire under Rham. Vrabel will not tolerate a Fumbler... protect the Football Rham or you will be watching from the Bench. Henderson is a way more Explosive athlete.
Best Pass Blocking RB in the class. If he can pass protect, which he can, then he’ll play, early and often.
I’m thinking it might not be this year but next year for sure that you make the playoffs.A lot of things have to come together but we could still not be good and win 2-3 more games because better draft/FA and real coaches and schedule.
This was the common thought from coaches and fans at PSU as well.He hasn't been working there: Marrone thinks he's better suited at Guard. I think the writing is on the wall.
I do see that comp. I still see Jakobi Meyers everytime I watch him. I thought Meyers was the unsung hero at NC state. You just brought a player back my memory when thinking about Polk's skill set: Malcolm Mitchell. I’m hoping by midseason Diggs and Boutte are duking it out for WR4 behind Williams, Chism, and Baker. And maybe even Henderson. Not over Diggs my friend: we hope his ceiling is a poor man's Diggs: who can beat #1 and destroys #2 coverage. Diggs and Boutte duking it out for WR #4? Those are some pretty aggressive hopes. Sorry, but hope should have some possibility of coming to pass, and that is not going to happen in this case.I’m hoping by midseason Diggs and Boutte are duking it out for WR4 behind Williams, Chism, and Baker. Remember, Diggs looks great for a player coming off an ACL repair, but he’s still coming off an ACL repair.
I’ll grant that Baker suddenly getting his head straight to step up is a reach, but is that really true for Williams and Chism, and Henderson?Diggs and Boutte duking it out for WR #4?
