While playing injured. Last time Hollins was in Josh's system at Vegas he had 57 receptions, 700 yards, and 4 TDs. But you like to **** on players playing injured.
3 years ago at 29 yo. He's 32 yo before the season starts and still recovering from an injury he got during last season.

Where’s Ian with the play by play when you need him?

I don't hate Hollins, it's just that I don't care about him... he's a bit player not a game changer... but the same could really be said about Bourne at this point...

ymmv

Bourne doesn't bring a unique skill set to the table and doesn't play special teams. Hollins is 6'4", psychical, can block and plays STs.

I think someone mentioned this before, but they saw Hollins main value as a core STer first and a solid depth WR who you can count on. Kind of like a Chris Hogan kind of guy. I be happy with that.

I hoping we see some of that 2021 Bourne. The Bourne with over 800yds on about 33% of the WR snaps. First plus is he's back with Josh. Second is this is 2nd year after his ACL, supposedly a plus year on an ACL recovery.

I was a big Mayo guy because I met with him, and he was a guy with great charisma and we heard non-stop about his smarts and leadership abilities going in. I knew there would be growing pains, but I didn't know it was so bad until we saw the difference.
At any rate. I think you have to give most of the players a red shirt year, especially the young ones before we make final evaluations on them.
my problem with this take is this - a core STer will play in roughly 80%-90% of the special teams snaps (look at cody davis, brenden schooler as examples of Core Special Teams players) ... Mack Hollins? plays approximately 25-30% of the special teams plays... I don't see him as a core special teams player... add to that, he's 32 years old at this point... just lots of little things that add up to, well meh...

Since I read an article about Bourne being on the outs this morning, after which the Bourne is gone posts cropped up here, it made me think what he can bring to the table vs Hollins... This is year 2 after his injury, when most guys fully rebound... Would be good to see that rebound... but, be that as it may, I'm not dying on the Kendrick Bourne must play here hill... its not worth it...

I am not anti-Hollins... Just indicating my preference between the two is all

Hard to get excited for any of our receivers right now considering who they are going up against. Really wish we could’ve seen them against Gonzo and Davis.
