PATRIOTS TRAINING CAMP Training Camp Day 2 - July 24

I see his running with STs as very telling, and what it’s telling is that they’re looking for a path to keep him on the roster.
Agreed. If baker does end up having a good camp i see practice squad as his future.

Fair point, 2023 was a very good one. We got pretty lucky after trading back that Wash took Forbes over Gonzo. One could only guess BB had them rated similar and would take whichever Wash didn’t. Thank God they took Forbes.
Washington flew Forbes in for a pre draft visit. The Pats might have known that. I think the Pats picked Ryland with their trade down compensation.

I forgot Jake Andrews from the 2023 draft class was released but he is challenging to start at the Texans. I thought he was injured (obviously not) and I haven't seen why he was released. Medical staff error? He is a great guy with a great attitude, not a malcontent.

Yep: even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.

I wonder what the timeline is for Wilkins return. Raiders just released him, I would definitely take a look depending on injury severity.
I wanted the Pats to sign Wilkins and Fant last year (guess its a good thing I don't make decisions)

The whole Jake Andrews thing was weird. I expected them to keep him through camp, but once free agency and the draft went the way it did, they weren't seriously going to give him a shot.

One thing this woman keeps telling me is: that not everyone is right all the time (except for her, she adds that in).

Your right One, he, Andrews is the starting C currently for the Texans.

Pretty amazing if J Andrews and Ryland end up starting this year. We are drafting so well we are throwing guys to the curb that are starters. And PatsFans posters are still saying all of our drafts for the last few years sucked!!! LOL

We are just happy that the Former ain't shopping for the groceries; because he Sucked at it.

He very likely would have brought in competition in the off-season I just didn't recall Bill benching him.
Well benching him was just the wording. Ryland had some struggles and many feel the organization gave up to early on him. Especially him being a reach in the 4th round.

Twin: let's just move on...some would like us to believe that there's a snowball's chance in hell BB would have kept Chad Wide-Left.
Twin- our cousin signbabybrady and I were discussing Ryland who on the forum was given the nickname WIDE-land.. if you think about it Big kick nickname probably was our best kicker since Gostkowski left. And we got rid of him...
