The Bill megathread (HC at UNC, girlfriend, etc.)

Lol I hope youre right but its hard for me to see Billdos/Bungles/Ratbirds ever getting past the Queefs.
The Bills and Revens are better teams. They just need to get rid of the psychological block that causes each of them to self destruct against Mahomes and the Chiefs.

They really need to stop KC from having that #1 seed. Last year KC had the easiest path to the Super Bowl imaginable - and still needed the refs to blow the calls on 2 Buffalo first downs.

We watched it for 20 years. Teams that were "better" than us (on paper at least) would continually fall on their face in big games because they couldn't get out of their own way. The Chargers, Colts, the Steelers, and even the Chiefs for a minute at the end of the dynasty. All had loaded teams with HOF/HOF caliber players that threw up on themselves every January because they didn't know how to win when it mattered.

If the Bills or Ravens don't win it all this year I don't know when they will.

Superior coaching on KC continues to be a problem for other teams. I don't think anyone else is close.

One of the things Bill was best at was not allowing the team to shoot themselves in the foot. You see so many coaches decide to do something different in big games but Bill always stayed with the "dance with the one that brought you" theory and 9 out of 10 time it worked. Bill and Brady were the perfect pair because Bill didn't reinvent the wheel for the sake of it and Brady was the king of taking what the defense gives you.

Yup. And when the team started to shoot themselves in the foot under his watch in his final years here - that's when we knew it was time.

The Chiefs window isn't opening any more than it is right now but I'm not ready yet to say it's starting to close. Could be wrong.

The Pats window will be opening again I think very soon no matter the outcome of this season.

The queefs weren't the #1 seed in 23 and won it all had to go @Buffalo and @Baltimore
The Ratbirds couldn't score a measly point in the second half of the AFCCG

Like I said I have to see it to believe it

Coaching matters, Andy Reid and Steve Spags are great at their job. Mahomes is also efficient and doesn’t make mistakes.

Lamar’s not an accurate passer, regular season gold and postseason poison. Get him on your fantasy team.

The Bills and Josh Allen keep beating themselves. Josh is great when the pressure is off.

I think the Bills should have offered Belichick the job as soon as he was available. But they got some weird loyalty to a guy that cannot get them over the top. If you are a defensive coach and offer nothing else, your D better not be the reason for consistently failing. Now, I'm unsure who they get if they gas him when they inevitably don't make the SB this year.

Unlike Buffalo, I blame HC/QB equally. How many truly great games has Lamar had against top tier teams in the postseason? Even Allen has gone toe to toe with Mahomes consistently. They seem to have a modern day Peyton Manning without actually winning SB's on their hands.

The Chiefs window is wide open until Allen or Jackson can sack up and beat them in a playoff game.

At some point the scar tissue of all those losses begins to effect you and makes potential up and comers like hopefully the Pats dangerous with none of that baggage to carry.

Josh Allen now 0-4 against Mahomes in playoffs and no Super Bowl appearances entering year 8, it seemed like it took Peyton Manning forever to break thru and he won it in his 9th season, doesn't seem like the same level of media pressure is being put on Allen as there was on Manning to beat Brady even though his record is actually worse.

Ancient history! How many years ago was that.
Gold digger bunny has changed him
That interview was very recent and it's the best college coach of this century giving BB praise. Sorry if you don't believe him.

These Chiefs aren't those Chiefs. Despite the record, the '23 Chiefs were far better than the '24 Chiefs, and I see nothing that suggest the '25 Chiefs will be more like '23 than '24.

Yeah. The teams that gave the Pats the most trouble were teams like the Ravens and Giants that didn't buy into the mystique and just played hard nosed football against us and played their game. The teams that underperformed were snakebitten teams like the Steelers and Colts that were on paper more dominant but were petrified of the Patriots and always seemed like they were trying to reinvent the wheel to beat us.

The Chiefs have that now. The Ravens and Bills are just snakebitten teams that go "oh **** here we go again" when they see KC on the field. They play expecting the Chiefs to take control at some point.

Queefs defensively may be worse but offensively they got speed out there. Rice, Worthy, Brown, Royals elite speed. If their LT pans out they'll be back imo. Unless the Ratbirds or Billdos prove me wrong hopefully
