As we've all posted about, followed team reporting, ect. I think it's a consensus to say as fans we are excited and optimistic about where the teams headed under Vrabel.

We had I believe 6 or 7 one score losses last season that frankly with better coaching we win at least 4 to 5 of them. I'm most excited about having real coaching back in Foxborough, actual game planning, taking away a teams best player.

Having watchable games on Sundays the optimism that our young QB will continue to Grow under Josh McDaniels.

What are you most excited and or optimistic about as fans for the 2025-26 patiots season?

I'm going to take the easy choice and go with Maye. I just want to see his improvement.

Also looking forward to that Statue of TB12
Awww golly SBB

I'm looking forward to seeing whether Maye can take a 2nd year leap.

All eyes will be on Campbell. He has a lot of pressure on him given where he was picked and what the Pats may have missed out on because of Mayo/Milton hero ball.

Maye and Campbell are the x factors on offense.

Douglas has technically broken the WR curse of flat out busts, but we need someone to make a little more of an impact. Hopefully Williams is that guy.

Can Henderson provide a spark at RB?

The much requested change of defensive philosophy in both scheme and personnel are here. Vrabel says they are going to be an attacking defense which I'm a fan of. As we've mentioned in prior threads, it's going to be the closest we've seen to the underrated Carroll-Sidwell defenses of the late 90's. Barmore and Williams are the x factors here. Spillane is a playmaking LB and is a major upgrade over Bentley. I think they are going to surprise this season.

The one buzz kill are the uniforms and I can't take another season of those. I thought for sure new ones were in place.

1) looking forward to the team having a chance in every game

2) looking forward to a winning season

3) getting to watch a talented Defense run by a talented set of Defensive minds

Here is what I am most excited about: Vrabel out-coaching his opponents and bringing us wins. It's been a while since we enjoyed that dynamic.

Need to be honest with myself. Retirement. Think about it day n night.
Yes! Tell me about it. Not sure where you live.. but for those of us in and around the Boston area, the traffic is worsening each day. I'm about 15 years away from retirement myself. If retirement is still a reality by that time.

At most, I have 3.5 years. But I’m thinking of taking a penalty and leaving in 2.5 years. At 51 now, I’ll only be turning 54 in the winter of 2028.

Money - for me - will never be as important as time. I’ll get out of the millennial infested workplace and retreat to walking, drinking coffee, and doing my own thing. I’ll ramp up my travelling. Go to Japan and France more often. I’ve also never been to Istanbul, nor Cordoba.

Looking forward to quality coaching across the board so many of these players can take a leap to the next step in their development..
Mike Vrabel's approach and philosophy makes me believe we are closer to having a contending team sooner rather than later..

Agreed on the uniforms for sure. I believe Henderson and Williams talents are undeniable. Like all rookie they will need to put it all together on the field to be impactful. I feel they will.

Definitely the defensive scheme was a warranted change. While we had a statically good defenses in past seasons when we faced elite QB they ate us up.

Diggs , Henry for example will be go to guys for Drake. Diggs supreme route running and ability to slip behind coverages especially on 3rd down is elite.

They will allow for pop to work in the slot more effectively and feast on nickel CBs. Adding in a much better offensive line and coaching to go with it.

The defensive line potential to cause offenses problems. Brady said himself the teams that can be disruptive up the middle gave him the worst problems. We project to be one of those defenses.

Another thing of note. How many seasons have be started out 0-2 or 1-3 the last few years.

That needs to end. Start fast and gather wins early so if we hit a skid we won't be out of playoff contention in October like we have been last few seasons. Winning games early in the season does so much for the culture, and belief in what Vrabel's doing. It amplifies guys and gets thier confidence levels high.
