The Bill megathread (HC at UNC, girlfriend, etc.)

That was 44th playoff game. Is that more than anyone else?
Was Matt Patricia a great offensive coordinator in NE? What about Judge? Bill hired them for those roles. Who are they coaching now in the NFL?

The Bill cheerleader is strong in this one.

Like Tom was going to say anything else about his former coach. Lol.
But you said BB didn’t develop Tom, Tom said he did… who is wrong?

I guess you don't like Josh either.

The key in your defense of Bill is the term "the wrong place." That defines wrong doing. That violation and Bill's ego got the cheating ball rolling and it never stopped. The NYFL even used it to punish the Pats for the fake deflation violation, which Bill had no problem throwing Brady under the bus for.

Brady didn't deflate anything but it doesn't stop people from hating him for being a cheater. Actually, I was watching a news program yesterday, a news program, and two of the newscasters were whining about Brady cheating. And, as I said, that was YESTERDAY.

Like it or not, Belichick hung the cheating label on the Pats and it will never leave.
I'm sorry you're mad at Bill, but he did not create antiPatriots bias, and if he made it worse, it was through success much more than his irritation with the stupidity of the league and his arrogance.

It's the thing to loudly believe the myth that the Patriots 'cheated', along with the one that the vast majority of undocumented immigrants in this country are 'criminals'.

They are, obviously.

Adorable that you'd expect Tom to say anything different....

Bill's problem as it's always been is arrogance and trying to be the smartest in the room.

Explains the draft failures. In the case of spygate he was arrogant enough to try word games with the memo about taping to his own advantage thinking that he could out lawyer Goodell if questioned about it. That wasn't his job. He had to know that one phone call to the league asking for clarification on the memo before the game would have saved him, the franchise and us fans a lot of grief the last couple of decades.... but he didn't do that and went ahead with his plan anyway.

Was it Bill's arrogance that caused Deflategate too?

Predictable that you would ignore the emotions behind the statement that would lead any rational person to believe he's being genuine.

The real question is why would you ignore it and think he's being anything but truthful? He's stated it with emotions on several occasions but you refuse to believe it because of your hate. You're a clown.

No answer to my question h8r?
It wasn't his best decision to draft Mac or to hire Matty P as OC. Doesn't change the fact he's the GOAT and you're a hate filled troll.

Is this thread Real Housewives of PatsFans.com

Tom could leave to a hyper talented Tampa team, most hyper talented teams already have a head coach and a GM who is quite satisfied with his position.

There are only 32 teams, most have coaches, many have owners known for being toxic or tied at the wrist with GM’s who are dug in. In short, there are very few enviable coaching jobs available every year… meanwhile roughly half the teams are looking for a starting QB or to upgrade from the average one they have.

Too early to tell. I didn’t even say they would be… but they might.

There were no good jobs, Atlanta might have been the best of a bad lot last year and the current GM was scared to hire Bill. The year prior there were no good jobs. He went to college instead. A good college job is better than a bad pro job.

Bills last few years here were a disaster… why?
"Bills last few years here were a disaster… why?"

Is this a typo? I mean, c'mon. Your other points have some merit, but this is a real baffler. I mean, look at the record. Look at the dismal ****show of a roster he left behind. Forfeiting a Super Bowl because of personal snit. Failing to contribute to the development of a first-round QB, again out of a petty personal snit. Hiring his fatass, butt-kissing blowhard pals for jobs for which that had no qualification or aptitude. Endless lousy draft choices year after year after year. The whole, "I'm so smart I don't have to be diligent "attitude. Dumbass in-game decisions, Dumbass gameday roster decisions. And on and on. Sorry, this is a no-brainer.

The guy was great, then he wasn't. Now he's a sad embarrassment. I feel sorry for him, genuinely, but I'm not going to lie about what he became.

You're talking to someone who convinced himself that the Pats were a contender each of the last 5 off seasons and harassed everyone who was realistic about what was going on.

If that was true then the GM of the team (not some nebulous collaboration - the GM only) made an inexcusable blunder by picking him at #15 in the first round. He ought to have known better.

But realistically we'll never know what he would be if and when he reached his ceiling. Bill clearly had no idea what he was doing anymore both as GM and coach, hence making Matt Patricia OC. Jones (and Zappe for that matter) never had a chance.

Belichick is responsible for all personnel decisions during his reign, good and bad. Those decisions led to a 20 year Dynasty and 6 Lombardi’s, no one has ever come close to that. Trying to tear him down because they faltered after a 20 year dynasty is as stupid as it gets. Feel free to show everyone a GM/Coach in the Super Bowl era who accomplished more, you won’t be able to do it. And the truth of the matter is that every dynasty in NFL history has faltered for years after their dynasty ended. If I’m not mistaken the Cowboys have won 1 playoff game since their 90’s dynasty ended. That’s the price you pay for extended greatness.

Great so when I say Mac Jones coaching sucked it sounds like you agree with me. Drafting Jones was fine. They needed a QB. He didn’t work out. sh-t happens

Now seethe some more h8r.

More of you twisting my words just to fit your narrative. Why don't you answer why your intentionally ignoring Brady's emotions when he talks about Bill and twisting his words to fit you're narrative too?

The answer is because you hate Belichick and aren't even a Patriots fan.
