Why should I be expected to be silent while you guys just run around trying to destroy his legacy and by extension the greatness of this team?
No matter what you say, the reality of the situation speaks for itself.
I'm not expecting you to do anything, just pointing out the futility of it.
Weis is not Belichick, I would expect much more from Bill than Weis. In my opinion not a good comparison.I thought that the Irish were going to light up college ball with Charlie Weis as their HC.
The school did, too. Then reality struck.
Yes, but it is the same type of vibe.Weis is not Belichick, I would expect much more from Bill than Weis. In my opinion not a good comparison.
Then surely Ryan would have been looking his way instead of far left.
Nothing about the way Bill carries himself and acts with his players says get the champagne ready. To be cliche you've got to do your job before any of that.Yes, but it is the same type of vibe.
"I am here so get the champagne ready." Unlike the NFL, in college ball you can fly under the radar looking pretty good with an average QB. I had high hopes for BB until the drama Queen reared her head and Belichick encouraged her BS.
So pretty!
I'll never understand why you guys attack these guys legacies.
I would also like to see BB right the ship so that he can get a chance at the all time NFL wins record.SBB. I don’t see people attacking Belichick’s legacy. He’s the GOAT, that’s indisputable. However as a guy who has controlled the media every step of the way throughout his career he has put himself in this position by making decisions that can only be described by one thing, he’s ****ywhipped. He’s highly intelligent, and has to realize on some level that he’s opening himself up to these stories by his own decisions, as he was in a long term relationship prior to this and never once had it become an issue, but it seems that he just doesn’t care what others think, which is obviously his right. But no one should be surprised that when his girlfriend is injecting herself into nationally televised interviews that she is going to become the story. I don’t think this will affect his legacy at all, just his bank account, but I also don’t think the media and fans can be blamed for following a story that Belichick has allowed to happen. He could easily end it by simply having her stick to the background, as he did Linda Holliday, but he’s letting her inject herself into his professional life, which is ultimately on him.
IMO this really no different that the Brady roast. Brady diligently protected his image throughout his career, and amazingly never stepped in **** in over 20 years. However he unfortunately allowed himself to be talked into doing the roast, which imo backfired on him big time. However to his credit he stepped up and took the blame for his decision, and the issue went away. Belichick would be wise to go the Linda Holliday route and push Bunny to the background and make her stay there. He’s the only person who can make this story go away, so he has to be the one taking the responsibility to end it. Hopefully he will say enough is enough, put Bunny in the closet, and go on to win a National Championship at UNC, and turn the narrative back to his legacy as the GOAT, but he’s going to have to be the one who makes that happen, because if she has her way she is going to continue injecting herself into the headlines, as that and Bill’s $$$ are her primary objectives.
There actually were footballs being tampered with that day. An NYFL employee (most likely a former Jet) was taking game balls meant for charity. It was the same scheme that Eli had going with helmets.I do not believe that any footballs were illegally tampered with that day. No bias on my part other than a thorough understanding of data analysis and the Ideal Gas Law because the data simply shows no evidence of tampering. (Why this belief angers you so much remains as yet a mystery....)
The illegal recording, however, we 100% know happened.
Nice try but the Bill hate started before we even knew who Jordan Hudson was.SBB. I don’t see people attacking Belichick’s legacy. He’s the GOAT, that’s indisputable. Most people here (yes a couple are) aren’t attacking his legacy, you are just taking it that way. His legacy here has nothing to with his UNC time. The one thing the UNC Chancellor didn’t mention in that statement is they are hiring a PR chief to deal with the negative backlash brought on by Jordan, Bill’s?So pretty!

I think that ship has already sailed. No NFL team wanted a 72 year old BB, doubtful they'll want the same guy when he's even older.I would also like to see BB right the ship so that he can get a chance at the all time NFL wins record.
Right now no one in the NFL is going to hitch themselves to the BB-Bunny clown show, and time is running out.
Agree.Whatever BB is doing now at UNC or with "Bunny," etc. in no way whatsoever diminishes his Patriots legacy. The six permanent banners in Gillette attest to that. He will be enshrined in both the Patriots and NFL halls of fame as one of the game's greatest to ever live.
A quick dictionary check of reproach gives "address (someone) in such a way as to express disapproval or disappointment". I don't feel I get to approve or disapprove of his actions, and I'm not close enough to him to be very disappointed. What I feel is more akin to concern. That being said, he is not beyond reproach as a human being. The sheer amount of embarrassing notoriety dogging him in recent months SHOULD have been within his ability to avoid, or at least mitigate. For whatever reason he either chose not to, or simply couldn't. THAT is fair game for speculation/second guessing. But this is all about the man and has nothing to do with the New England Patriots or his time coaching them.
