Celtics 2024-2025 Discussion

This is on Mazzulla. Idiocy is keeping on doing on the same thing even when it's not working.
I have this feeling there are going to be some coaching changes this off season...

I never tried to sound like I was ready say they are done.. but like you RW I've been a fan for basically all my life as a Cs fan.. KP, is a 31 year old talented big man with constant injury or unavailable to his teams over the years. I believe his contract is moved in the off season..

They should have moved him for Vuvajic in Chicago sorry if i misspell his name. It's inexplicable to have 20 point leads to a good Knicks team both games at HOME.. and allow them to beat you. Can you help me to understand??
Fyi KP is 29.

I don't think KP's illness is the reason they've blown 20pt leads but it sure hasn't helped. They are just not playing focused, intense basketball right now.

I'm not quite ready to move him. I'm still angry and don't like to make decisions like this emotionally

Yes, thanks. I was thinking about the age he'll be at the end of his contract. He will be 30 in August. They have to get from under the tax.. so his contract, age, availability is likely the contract they will move.. the organization should have traded him to Chicago for Vuvajic. He is younger, durable and has the same type of game as porzingas. But that ship has sailed.

I’m not going to give up on this team, but man is this frustrating. The thing is, I like the roster, I really do like these guys, I’m a fan of Tatum and I’ve grown to really like Mazzulla.

Really, this was the same fear as last year. I thought going to the playoffs the Celtics would be fine if they won by 20 or 30, but if it was a close game they were in trouble. They ended ended up winning the title without having close games for the most part(a couple of exceptions like Indiana game)

They can do this. I hope they do. Will they? Seems like 50-50 right now

As I've mentioned. They just aren't hitting shots.. Tatum shots have been off all post season.. shots he routinely hits aren't going in.. is it the hand?.. guys have played alot of basketball in thier careers fatigue is another thing... I actually enjoy watching them on the road then I do at home for some reason .

Absolutely agree on the road thing. But yeah, these games have been brutal to watch, the idea that sports should be enjoyable/fun almost seems funny during these things. The real kick in the head is that they only need one or two of these shots to fall to win both of these games, Tatum had a three with like three minutes left yesterday that if he hits it the Celtics win, every single time there’s a shot that you just feel like if it goes in that’ll be it they miss. It’s just brutal

If they don't win G3 it's over.

By Sat KP and Hauser would have had some rest and the team will have had some time to take stock of their back-to-back collapses and refocus. They might also make some adjustments (like drive to the hoop for one which opens up the 3pt shot)

They were the best road team all year for a reason. Now or never.

Agreed with you. They should have realistically never been in a situation like they have last 2 games? What if all thise could be thr kick in the ass they need to get back to the finals.. OKC is the best team in the league hands down right now As they have no weaknesses. Could this be the adversity the Cs need to propel them. We've been a dominant road team all season.. to get back to the finals it will have to be on the road as they gave us home court advantage. I have never seen anything like this from a championship team.

And it's a 3:30 game wich is better than having to wait around all day. Knicks will be riding high off the cknfi we gave them. MSG will be charged up and wanting to finish us off. I just don't like the feel from the team offensively.. it's just off.. with Hauser out Mazzulla is going to have to take a coaching tip from tibs. Play shcheimen the guy can absolutely let it go.. and play defense. What else does he have to loose.

It's looking like last season was an anomaly and this year is the regression to the mean. Last season the C's two key players were able to rein in their natural tendencies to forgo passing, to take the lazy three, to try to ball-handle beyond their skill level. This year they've returned to the kind of not-smart play that will, if continued, leave them watching the finals on TV. Where's Mazzulla while this back-sliding is going on?

Thats a stretch. Every NBA champion that doesn't repeat is an anomaly.

They’ll probably win the series 4-2. This team is more than capable of pulling off 4 in a row.

They needed some adversity in the post season to probably show a sense of urgency. I can't stand this team loosing at home.. the garden is no longer an advantage anymore. Maybe it's a good thing they are on thre road.

If they can’t show a sense of urgency being down 2-0 on the road then this team didn’t stand a chance to go all the way.

Crazy. 33-8 record away, 28-13 at home. Thought you were full of **** until I looked it up.
No. Not full of **** at all. That home record is though. This team is lax at home.. go back and look up past champions home record GSW, the Cs of the 80s, the Lakers, bulls.. dominant home teams.

With all the uncertainty beyond this season.. this team should already be charged up to win at least one more. This roster will likely be different come next season.
