Are there veterans who don't fit in as part of the future?

I've been hearing a lot about UDFA WR Efton Chism III. He's basically a carbon copy of Edleman (and inch shorter but almost the same weight), only he played all of his college snaps at WR. He's also supposed to be a dangerous PR and solid ST player. He's described as catching pretty much everything thrown his way and has excellent YAC and just runs great routes, consistently gets separation, and has an extensive route tree even though he's mostly played in the slot.

I think we have an hidden gem here John. Can't wait to see him in camp.

If he lives up to what's being said about his potential, he could be one of those UDFA/Late Round Type Gems.

That’s called telling the truth, not entitlement. Who in their right mind wouldn’t have complained about Patricia’s offense, the playbook was done in crayon.
Bourne has done nothing in his career to warrant telling coaches what they should be doing. Bill put him in his place and Bourne didn’t like it.

Jennings is younger. Bentley has a history of injuries and older. He was expendable. Jennings is one of best edge defenders in the game. His game could crown under Vrabel.

No, if he has a great camp and pre-season, he may be on the Practice Squad. There have been so many like him over the years.

Of course, this year is different. We have so many ahead of that we may trade a couple of vets and he still won't have much of a chance to make the 53.

Onwenu must show up to camp in shape this year!! It was a disgrace for him last year.
basically a contract year. if he balls out we probably re sign him. really disappointing season for Big Mike.

Hell let’s not screw around.
Cut Drake Maye and save $17,500,000.
Cut Carlton Davis and save $22,800,00.
Cut Milton Williams and save $37,000,000.
Cut Christian Barmore and save $12,275,000.
They are all losers, we haven't won **** since they have been on the team.

If he has a great camp and pre-season and they try to sneak him onto the PS, he'll be playing for someone else. Three years from now we will be *****ing about "why can't we have WRs like that on this team...."

We'll see.

I'll wake you up week 1...

He's been a good run defender which he would've fit in well with the early Pats teams. As I've mentioned before, I could see him playing early downs, but coming out in obvious passing situations for Landry.

You're talking out your rear end. Since you weren't paying attention, Bourne was one of two players to have actually PLAYED in a Shanahan Outside zone Scheme. Trent Brown was the other one. They certainly had more knowledge of the scheme than Patricia. So yeah, I would expect them BOTH to tell Patricia if he was screwing it up. Which they did. And Patricia punished Bourne for it.

Maybe you should stop spewing BS and deal in facts. Oh. Wait. It's YOU. You never deal in facts. Only your moronic opinions that are easily debunked with reality.

He's most likely out of the starting rotation. Landry will be a stand up Edge player with White playing the opposite side with his hand in the dirt. However, Jennings best bet if they make Landry a Tully Banta-Cain type player where he only comes in on obvious passing downs. If they go with Landry as a starter, then Jennings doesn't have a place on this team because he's atrocious at rushing the passer.

Vrabel / Williams runs a 4-3 Under. Jennings will likely be lining up at OLB and not DE.. Landry played on the D-Line as a Light DE opposite a Heavy such as White. There is no reason that BOTH can't be on the field.

Claiming that Jennings is "atrocious at rushing the passer" tells everyone you're a muppet who regurgitates the BS from the buffoons on this board and don't actually watch the games.

What people like yourself refuse to acknowledge is that Jennings has actually improved his pass rushing totals each year.
2022 - 159 pass rushing snaps - 1 sack, 2 hits, 8 hurries ( 1 pressure per 18 pass rushes)
2023 - 275 pass rushing snaps - 2 sacks, 2 hits, 17 hurries ( 1 pressure per 14.5 pass rushes)
2024 - 348 pass rushing snaps - 3 sacks, 6 hits, 22 hurries ( 1 pressure per 11.2 pass rushes)

Is he all world? No. But to say he's atrocious says you aren't paying attention.

Not to mention that he had the improvement despite not having Barmore on the field or Judon on the team.

BTW, if Jennings is "atrocious" at 1 pressure per 11.2 pass rushes, what does that make Landry at 1 pressure every 14.1 last season? Or K'Lavon Chaisson at 1 pressure every 10.7 pass rushes.
