Honestly I think part of this is Bill got waaaay too use to the media being his *****. Able to dictate everything about what would and wouldn't be asked. But now that he is out of the NFL and can't punish reporters by freezing them out if they go down a topic rabbit hole he doesn't like. He's surprised that a huge media company that he holds no sway over and he can't take to task isn't afraid to dig for whatever story they want?

Seems to me that is the issue. I hear he went down there without an agent or manager or lawyer or anything. Just his girlfriend. Bad bad idea. But i understand how he could get so complacent he would believe he didn't need anyone to be there for him.

The real book he should be writing is about the twisted psychology of a 73 year old dating a 24 year old.

I think it makes perfect sense. The same reason young attractive women have dated rich old men for ages. Also, she apparently is already a multi million because of dating him. Which kind of makes the fact she's still with him more interesting to me. She doesn't need him anymore. But is staying with him. Which means she must really enjoy the attention and being around famous rich people. And wants to stay in that circle. And that alone is worth sticking with Bill.

Keep in mind I am not criticizing her for this. It's her life and she should do what makes her happy. But I do find it interesting how much people can value such a thing as being in the in crowd and rubbing shoulders with the elite that it becomes their main focus/goal.

I don't think it's weird really. I mean dressing in a hoodie or old beat up shorts and shirts and/or being under dressed for most occasions is kind of his brand. The whole 'i'm the mad genius of football that spends so little time worrying about how i dress, my only concern is it's functional. This shows how all my focus is on the game' thing.

I've hear time and again he's P whipped. IDK about that. I just don't think he cares about what anyone thinks about him personally outside of his football legacy, and that is what it is.

I'm not worried about him. He's 73. He was presumably the highest paid coach in the NFL and pulled down lots of endorsement money. At some point everyone has to decide it's time to call it. His time is over.

I don't know exactly when he lost his fastball, but IMO it was gone by the MP/JJ year. He knew he lost McD months earlier, showed up at training camp after calling his buds and his kids and plugging them into positions they had no business being in, and just went with that.

He definitely should know better, both about his coaching moves and about his off-the-field moves. Yet if he doesn't GAF, why should we?
