My belief is they had the conversation about how people are going to react to their relationship. He told her to ignore it. To your point, when she cries to Bill he will listen and be empathetic.

At some point I have to imagine he'll get tired of the babysitting and emotional management she needs.

It’s so funny how Bill sycophants keep claiming that Bill Belichick, and his puppeteer Jordan, don’t care what people think and are actually just laughing at the media when we keep getting PRIVATE EMAILS through the university and elsewhere with Bill obsessively angry about every perceived slight in every public appearance.

That has always been my issue with Bill. His hypocrisy. The whole "doing what's in the best interest of the team" pissed me off every time he said it because there were so many instances of Bill doing what's best for Bill. Trading Garoppollo to his friend's kid when the team that fired him made a better offer, running Brady out of town, hiring his friends/kids for positions they weren't qualified for. None of those things helped the team. Then after years of crapping all over the media, he spends an entire year on various media platforms crapping on anyone who he feels wronged him. And now at UNC, where he has always preached about not causing a distraction, he has his girlfriend down on the field with him, involved in team communications, and now a circus of an interview.

I love what Bill did here, and he deserves a ton of credit for what he did, but for anyone to claim he isn't a hypocritical egomaniac is blinded by Bill homerism.

The timing of him meeting this girl, blowing up his long term relationship with Linda Holliday, and then surrounding himself with slavishly devoted sycophants and family in his football staff highlighted by Patricia and Judge as joint offensive coordinator is just too good.

I do believe he was running an open tryout and decided to turn over the roster in favor of the younger player over the veteran.

I think there is a chance Bill never coaches a down for UNC. I don't think it is a large chance but he is making the university look bad and if his girlfriend is meddling this much and posting emails on instagram UNC could terminate his contract.

Yeah, Johnson has always had a knife out for BB. Sometimes he's more subtle than others but it's always there.

On a side note, looking at that 'article' SI has really fallen. Ted Johnson is twice identified as a 'former Patriots offensive lineman' in it. Cripes they don'r even have him on the correct side of the ball never mind his position. They do it in the subtitle and again 9in the body of the article here:

' Johnson, a three-time Super Bowl champion offensive lineman for Belichick’s teams in New England...'

If Bill responded to the question himself saying he’s not answering the question and that he’s there to talk about his book and football, that would have been fine. The fact that his girlfriend, who was not being interviewed, interrupted is what’s odd.

His response misses the point. It was also odd that she was on the field talking to him while he was conducting a practice is also very odd and is clearly out of character for him. This whole situation is very troubling.

The ****ty thing is that Bill sort of needs this to work with UNC. You don't end a college tenure in embarrassment and then get a shot at the NFL even if you were a once legendary coach. Also if you can't cut it at UNC, bigger college programs aren't going to consider you.
