Feels good that the priority needs have been addressed. Edge might be the one position I feel like still needs addressed most. Still a few good options on the board in Sawyer, Swinson, etc.

I’d really like to see the front seven get some attention early tomorrow.

DT, DE, CB, Safety, RB, QB.

6 picks left. 6 positions.

RB could be one they wait until UDFA to add a 2nd guy..

really hoping they target Pegues.. He's got an mean attitude and loves hitting people (plays FB on Goalline/short yardage).

For offense

Frazier - OG
Mbow - OG - Both good value. Depends what you want. IDK if i rank one above the other.... Some people do and I'd trust their judgement on it.
Royals - WR - If they want to do a double dip he is a good option... I would have said Bond too, but he's not so special that you over look the accusations against him, also there was an actual warrent in this sexual assault case so i have him off the draft board for... Sad as he's a 2nd/high 3rd rd talent.
Skattebo - RB - They only have 3 on the roster worth having, and he is a guy i like.

And at some point even we need to start considering Sanders... not with our high 4th... but at some point. No TEs, OTs or any other offensive players interest me so much. If there were, i would think it be worth considering.

For Defense

Farmer - DT - May be the best value on this side of the ball. Maybe overall. I doubt he even falls 3 picks at this point though.
Robinson - DT - While he isn't as shocking to be here as Farmer... still be good value. Has some elite traits, Had a really good year last year, but makes you wonder where his production was before that.
Pebbles - DT - Bit more of an undersized specialist, but has been a riser on many boards. He'd make sense here if they want to go the specialist route.... that being said. If Farmer is there there is no reason to take him imo. Him vs Robinson is a more interesting debate of what you want to have it... but i still think Robinson be too promising to pass up on if it came down too it.
Swinson - Edge - Obvious name... one of the best values left across the board by most draftniks. Should have been gone 30 picks ago.
Sawyer - Edge - He has good value here too

Honestly... Pats may well trade down again believing they can get a good player later.... personally I'd just pick... then if guys keep falling package your 2 5ths to trade up to grab another.

Pebbles - DT - Bit more of an undersized specialist,
I'll say

It’s going to be really interesting what direction the Pats go in day 3. I’ve loved what they have done so far and really set themselves up with a ton of options on the final day.

I think they likely go defense at 106 with either a pass rusher or DT. Like most draft fans I love upside so I would go with Bradyn Swinson. I think his talent level and potential is through the roof and I’m really surprised he is still on the board. If he lasts past 106 I’m just going to trust that there are things beyond talent stopping him from being picked that we aren’t aware of.

There are a few other EDGE guys I really like and would be over the moon if we took. Barryn Sorrell, Kyle Kennard, David Walker, Antwaun Powell-Ryland and Elijah Roberts would all be great picks in the 4th or the 5th round.

At DT there are a couple of interesting guys (CJ West, Joshua Farmer), but I can’t help but be intrigued by Deone Walker. Freakishly large human, great athlete, played hurt in 2024. If he can be the player he was in 2023 he could be a steal. Boom or bust type which I don’t mind outside of the top 100.

If we want to continue to protect Drake Maye then Marcus Mbow really interests me. We don’t have a set LG but we do have a lot of guys likely to compete for that role so it might not be the best allocation of resources. I do find the prospect of having two maulers on the right side with Onwenu and Moses, and two superb athletes (plus possibly Wilson at C) on the left side really intriguing. I would be really excited to see what kind of scheme Josh could come up with with that kind of personnel.

Ultimately if I were a betting man I would guess we will see a continuation of the philosophy that Vrabel has gone for so far with tough, intelligent football players. The guy that stands out the most is Jack Sawyer from Ohio State. He would fill a need and seems like a great fit from a culture perspective.

A couple of last thoughts before day 3. I think the 5th round could be where we invest once again in a developmental QB. I wouldn’t at all be surprised to see us go after someone like Will Howard or Riley Leonard as a backup.

I would earmark 171 for Willie Lampkin. We know Josh loves FB’s and Lampkin could offer a lot of roster flexibility by being able to fill in as an emergency IOL. Another culture guy that could carve out a nice roll.

I would also like to see a double dip at RB at some point, probably the 7th round. I’m a big fan of Kalel Mullings and Raheim Sanders as more physical backs to complement T. Henderson.

Mac McWilliams is a good possibility for tomorrow at some stage.

Also keep an eye on Ruben Hyppolite, the Maryland linebacker who had a late visit for us. His pro day forty time was between 4.39 and 4.42 with a 6.96 3-cone.

Cal Safety Craig Woodson is another favourite of mine. In the past four years, only four safeties have had a pass defense grade and run defense grade of above 85 in the same season. One is Kevin Winston who went yesterday, one is Brian Branch and then there's Caleb Downs who is talked of as being the best defensive player in CFB. The fourth is Craig Woodson. He's also reported to have a plus plus character according to Daniel Jeremiah.

And one final name is linebacker Shaun Dolac of Buffalo. There's no reported contact so there's no reason to think he might be a Patriots target but he was PFFs highest graded linebacker with a 92.6 pass defense grade and is athletic too.

Another name on defense - Quandarrius (Que) Robinson, the edge rusher from Alabama. I really like his upside. He's a late bloomer and only got meaningful snaps this season but he averaged a pressure every 7 pass rushing attempts. Comfortably the best in this class. The advantage to Que is that he spent his career at Alabama as a special teamer with meat he'll find a place on the roster.

i would love love love walker

this worked for me with henderson....manifest destiny

George Kittle Pt.II...Luke Lachey I really like him think he has TE one upside does everything.

Safety, Edge, Fatty DT. In that order preferably.

Oh and Jackson Hawes, get me that guy
Dan Jackson the reliable Georgia safety who ran a 4.46 at his pro day. White guy in the defensive backfield? That can’t work, can it?

Maybe that’s why he wasn’t invited to the combine.

Lots of edge options. Manxie likes LSU’s Bradyn Swinson. There’s also Que Robinson. Or Tyler Batty in the seventh.

And massive NT and good guy Yahya Black out of Iowa.

J Royals is a very similar to Kyle Williams Speed speed and more speed.
