Not true on Parcells.

His obvious happiness at returning here where he coached in 1980 was very quickly muted by Orthwein only a couple of weeks after his hiring. His deafeningly tepid response to the media made his opinion clear.

A Jets fan I ran into in CT years ago told me the very first thing Parcells did when he arrived in NY was to notify the league they were returning to their iconic, classic logo and uniform as soon as possible, and they were in them his second season.

In Dallas, Parcells made a huge point of instilling in his players awareness and pride in the Cowboys' history, tradition and brand - the lone star.

Parcells changed Pat the Patriot to the present logo. Parcells changed the Jets and when he was in the Miami front office had plans to change the Dolphins look. Parcells made slight changes to the Giants uniforms - larger font for the numbers - but, he was well aware of the Cowboys blue jersey curse.

The Giants wore white at home throughout the 1980 season. Blue has remained the Giants home jersey since the 1981 season, excepting games against division rival Dallas through 1987, due to an alleged curse on the Cowboys' blue jerseys.<a href="Logos and uniforms of the New York Giants - Wikipedia"><span>[</span>9<span>]</span></a>

It seems unlikely that Parcells would not want to make Cowboy uniform alterations, but any plans had to go through Jerry Jones. BB turned the tables on Parcells when Dallas came to NE 11/16/03 regular season and BB picked the Pats alternate jerseys as the home team. Forcing Dallas to wear dark blue jerseys. NE 12 - Dallas 0.

I would like to see a uniform incorporating a tasteful silk tie. That would make the team look much more professional Perhaps a nice cummerbund would be good, too, and could provide , with attention to its construction, added protection to the players' critical digestive organs.
