Four Tackles: Moses and ???

So, therefore you believe that Vrabel likely will not choose players that will improve our team?

I trust that Vrabel will have sufficient good advice to be able to make good (perhaps not great) choices in the first four rounds.

No matter who is chosen, our posters will believe that they would have done better, as is the case every year.
Past performance is the best predictor of future success. That does not guarantee anything, it is only a predictor.

I did not state my belief because it does not matter. I have no experience on a NFL drafting team. I post on PatsFans.

We got a legit OL coach. Finally. Big hole at LT. VD Lowe may improve. But we can’t roll with him there without serious competition.

What if it’s already in the building? Sidy Sow.

Not to oversimplify, but I think this is what our OT room will look like for the upcoming season:

Moses
Love
Wallace
Day 1 draft pick

This could change if we draft more than one OT. In that case, we keep five tackles. I don’t see us cutting or trading any of the above.

LT-Campbell or Simmons (if medically/physically able) or Conerly Jr. (Simmons or Conerly Jr. in a trade back into the 1st Round because Hunter is there and they take him over Campbell.
RT-Moses
LT (ST)-Ersery or Trapilo
RT (ST)-Another 2025 Drafted Player

Wallace being groomed from training camp to be a RG/Backup (Emergency) RT

5 tackles does seem a reasonable possibility. It is quite possible that our first rookie won't be ready to start Game One, and the second picked OT will need a year or two to develop. We'd potentially have 3 youngsters for the future.

I agree…the other possibility would be to stash the 2nd OT drafted on the PS if he’s a late round pick (6th or 7th rd). Of course there’s a risk there; but not too high for someone drafted in the later rounds.

As of now, we have
Lowe, Wallace
Moses, Jacobs

It seems that we would expect to carry 4 OT's on the 53. How may of the above should make the 53? We need more capable bodies to compete and in case of a camp injury.
==========
QUESTIONS
1) Should a rookie to start?
2) Should two draftees to be among the four? perhaps with one starting on PUP if necessary?
3) Should Wallace be on the team as the #4 OT and perhaps backup RT, hopefully developing into a future RT or even RG?
4) Should Lowe be replaced by a 3rd round draft pick who would be expected to start if there was an injury?
5) Do we need to carry 5 OT's instead of the past 3 or 4?
=========

Patsies need to draft TWO LEFT Tackles by #144.

Be prepared to stomach VD Low as our starter there until one of the rookies is ready to take over; the sooner the better. Because it is now clear as crystal that, thanks to this ****ing clown car of a front orifice, NOBODY ELSE is walking through that door... Afterwards, Low can compete for the Swing/Backup RT job with Wallace & Jacobs, both of whom are Nothing more than practice squad-caliber JAGs anyway.

I am still hoping for Humpries as a FA, and then a couple taken over the following 4 picks in the 2-4th. I want Wallace to be at RT

I thought you were going to say Cole Strange. Both are guards IMO.

What's so special about Wallace besides his draft status that he's considered a lock?

He does seem to have the physical & athletic profile for the position:

Spelled is spelled spelled…

Strange69 might've been able to get by at LT, especially if he had been given the experience of playing that position at his rinky-dink college, because of his passable physical profile & especially his athletic one:

Yup. Strange fits the profile, but has been a LG all his life. Mayo had Strange at center. With signing Bradbury I assume that experiment is over too. Athletic guy that can move around, but always seems to end up back at LG.
