So thus far I have 2 thoughtful 7th Rd lists. A couple of Lampkins and a few Drew Kendalls.
We worry about the C position but we have like 5 on the roster now. According to some profiles, Kendall has gotten better each of the last 3 years. His RAS is 9.11. Good in space. Effective puller. Past year had 5 pressures in 365 pass plays. And good anchor against physical pass rushers. Sounds like he could start for chrissakes.
Lampkin could find hisself at C and some FB play. He's smart, tough and unafraid of bigger, faster dudes. He'll show up at every practice. I'm not concerned about height but his weight. If he were 2 inches taller and 25 lbs heavier he'd go in the 4th or 5th rd with the Kandra's of the world and have a 8-10 yr NFL career. Model player.
Nick Martin - speedy under-sized LB who can get after it whether it's a QB/RB/WR. If he had more playing time/stats or played in the SEC he'd be going much higher.
Que Robinson - one of the best EDGE players in the 2nd half of the Draft - hard to pass up, same with Elijah Williams, Batty and Sorrell, too.
What about DT? Run stuffer. Nazir Stackhouse (great last name for a DL)
What about CB? Huzzie anyone. Nickel cover. Frazier? No.
Safety. Specifically FS. Craig Woodson anyone? We didn't pick Winston or Sanker.
TE. The afterthought. We could get a TE3, blocker type or someone like Conyers who could FB and run the Wildcat? Yurosek? Poor man's Hernandez. 4 year starter at Stanford and Georgia. Good blocker and receiver and 14 rushes for an 8 yd avg.
I'll give it to 10am
