My therapist told me googling images with your spouse is actually a good marital aide. I told him I'm not married and that he never listens to me.

I can assure you that very much depends on whose marriage he's talking about it. His maybe...
Mine? Uhh... probably not so much

"Cardi B" sounds like the name of a disposable vape brand

I am among a few not necessarily thrilled with this signing. When I think of him, all I see is outburst when it gets tough.

He took Diggs to the Foxy Lady after their recent dinner and introduced him to the lovely Strawberry.
I think Foxy Lady is closed. Went there in 1995 and saw Mo Vaughn

The biggest point to this IMO is that it seems Diggs wants to be here.

Every WR FA Possibility since BB left, Aiyuk, Higgins, Kupp, Metcalf, Ridley, who they might have had a chance at, did not want to be here, even for money.

Diggs get Buffalo twice a year, is clear #1 if healthy, has the next possibly great QB throwing to him, plus goes back to his glory days of the AFC East for one more chance.

Few FAs wanted to be here. That culture is already changing plus Diggs has a big mouth. I don't see any situation where Diggs takes the money and doesn't give it his all.

This could become a Washington type destination with any success, even if it takes him a year to be his best.
Good point. Diggs raises the profile of the team. Can't say "no one wants to go there" anymore. Signing Diggs may be the catalyst to be able to later attract other talent.

Regarding getting Buffalo 2x a year, I bet Diggs would like nothing more than to help the Pats take the division back from the Bills, knowing that the Bills totally blew all their shots and could never even once beat KC in the playoffs.

I’d be pissed too if my team continually had playoff failures.

He was the entire offense in Buffalo. All but one of their playoff losses didn’t have anyone else step up when defenses focused on Diggs.

This is a ridiculously horrible deal. 3yr/$69M with $26M Guaranteed for a WR with attitude issues who shot himself out of 2 lockerrooms and coming off a torn ACL less than 5 months ago. Guy isn't going to be 80% of what he was in Buffalo.

Arguably the worst move of Vrabel's offseason.
I feel even more certain this was a good move now.

I've said this already, but playing Buffalo twice a year was a big selling point. Right up there with the money.

They finally rebalanced their offense once he left... and still pissed down their leg as soon as they saw KC again.

Yea hes had some behavior issues. People say it's the heat of the moment. Hes competitive, etc.

Just gotta hope those issues don't follow him here and the coaches keep those to a minimum.

Diggs is gonna be there shooting daggers at Allen all game long twice a year.

You know, I bet this signing makes NE vs. BUF a primetime game.

Excited enough about this move that I read all 13 pages. So much to speculate about from his attitude to health and his age and contract. Where to begin.

a. Lets start with the contract. Hard to interpret the numbers because there is a huge gap between the guaranteed money and the "total" deal. Within a week we will likely get a clearer view. But if "only" 26MM is guaranteed they you might think that means about $8MM/yr is salary. Then another $8MM in likely makeable incentives like game day bonuses, and decent production numbers and work out bonuses, etc. Then the rest will be for what I call premium bonuses, like OPOY or all pro, etc. So I guess he COULD get up to $22/yr if he's a top 5 WR in the league, but it will be more likely in the $14-16MM/yr range and as little as $8.6 if he's pretty much a bust.

I don't find any of those scenarios odious and hope we pay him the max because it will mean we have a top receiver league wide.

b. As far as his attitude. I was actually worried from the first reports that came out. But even before he signed, I had been reading more positive comments about his work ethic, leadership, and competitiveness. Clearly stuff happened in Buffalo in the end, but I don't think it carried from team to team. A lot of people loved him in Texas.

c. i mentioned in another post that by biggest worry about this offense is the lack of continuity. Think about it. This will be the 3rd system they'll have in 3 years. The like the exact opposite of continuity. Plus they'll have to do it with a QB with less than a full season's experience. There will be growing pains folks.

d. the WR room looks to be getting a lot better in my view with the addition of Hollins and Diggs. Plus I was a big Bourne guy. I keep on going back to the fact the guy had over 800 receiving yds his first season with us playing only about 30% of the offensive snaps. I'm hoping Josh will get that usage out of him. As for Polk, players CAN get better and survive disastrous years. We just have to look at what happened to Ryland among many other examples we know all too well. I think it can wind up being pretty solid.

e. Hey Captain. I find your comments on our new WR coach interesting. Now I'm curious about him. Tell me more. If he's so obviously THAT bad why was he hired. Is Vrabs an idiot and doomed to failure or does he know more something we don't.
Something he brings that we have really lacked is a talented guy with an F anyone who doesn’t like it attitude. We’ve been a passive team sitting back waiting for things to happen.

Leadership of urgency and I dare you to stop me.

Probably have to go up to the Golden Banana. That's a pain in the ass from Foxboro.

The opportunity to slam that window shut once and for all was pretty tempting.

I'm hearing he could be ready by week 1. I hope that is true. This is a good short term signing. I still think we need to get a young dynamic playmaker for Drake in the draft.
