I agree but why sign Winston and Wilson? Waiting for a shot at what QB comes up next year? I think they are going for Hunter at 3

The Giants at QB have been a s&$#show since Manning. They don’t know what they’re doing. Sometimes I wonder whether John Mara is meddling too much or not enough.

Vrabel publicy stated he has been constantly telling him that not to get to uptight becuase guys are still available. This was a week before diggs came to town.
My impression is he isn't really an influencer

Still need trade down from 4, to 10-15ish and take part of what we get and our 2 and trade back up into the first to draft a WR. We have no WRs on the roster we would expect to be here in 2027.
A lot of people have suggested that we trade down, but if Carter and Hunter are gone, I don't see how this is possible? Which team in their right minds is going to trade up for, say, Campbell.

If Hunter is gone and Carter is available at 4, then trade down and get a boatload of picks. This roster cannot be fixed with a single pass rusher.

If Hunter is available, entertain offers, but I think that in the end you should take him.

If Hunter and Carter are gone, then good luck finding a trade partner. You will, alas, have to take Campbell who seems like a safe but unspectacular pick. This seems like the most likely scenario. Why the heck did the Patriots beat the Bill?????

From what I understand he and Vrabel have forged a great relationship.. sometimes it's a personal relationship in an organization that can make a huge difference. Think of all the personal relationships bill had over his Illustrious career that led to great signings.. Brockton native Al Davis who bill had a personal relationship with.. that made it easier to Trade for randy.. I think wolf and Vrabel have a mutual respect for each other however I can bet you Vrabel would rather him not speak publicly. Lol

I really would ask that I be spared these asinine video clips. Be an adult, Use your words.

I've always felt even in Minnesota Diggs is probably the best route runner in the game.
Aiyuk is not far behind either Aiyuk's ceiling is Diggs.

Agreed twin... we have a defense with the potential to be top 5.. we can now call exotic plays and keep Defenses off balance on offense.

No one is running over us this season.
Vrabel says so

You can smell Josh McDaniels behind these WR moves. Josh loves Vets over Rookies Mac Hollings now Diggs I dig.

Only $26m guaranteed for a 31yo coming off a major knee injury....

Agree the NEP can manage the spend easily but Jesus..

My concern with any of the deals they are making right now is always about the 27’ season, and how the deal will impact them then. I don’t really care about the money because they should be trying to utilize as much of that as possible. This deal won’t harm them in any way this year, and we are all pretty much hoping they will be in the hunt for a wild card spot. In 26’ I think the expectation will be to be a playoff team, and hopefully contend with Buffalo for the East title, and most of these deals should be fine on the cap in 26’ as well. What I don’t want to see are 3-4 year deals with big money that will count on the cap in 27’, and the player isn’t worth it, and becomes a dead money hit right at the time where they will want to free up cap space to make signings that will make them a serious Lombardi contender. So deals with guys like Bradbury and Diggs, who are basically band aids they will be looking to improve upon over the next two offseasons should be either over, or painless to remove from the payroll. As long as the money is freeing up for the 27’ off-season it’s ok with me..

Given that even some of the initial reports said “up to” $69M, I’m interested to see what the actual base value is. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s closer to three years, $45M, with $8M incentives per year. $26M fully guaranteed could mean $13M guaranteed plus $2M roster/workout bonuses in each of the first two seasons.

Or it could be a legit $23M per year with $26M guaranteed in year 1. I’ve been surprised a few times already this offseason.

Predictable. Best of luck in middle school next year.
I knew it was coming too.

I like to use music videos sometimes. Signing Diggs to me is worthy of I'm So Excited by the Pointer Sisters or Dancing in the Streets by Martha and the Vandellas.

I still worry about the attitude. Even with the caveats of (1) all good WRs want the ball and (2) he plays hard. I accept that SD is very talented and that, when right, he’s the type of guy who’ll make big plays.

Maye is a young qb. My fear is that a WR who’s already been w two talented QBs can have a less tumultuous stint in NE. But I’m not putting money on it.

I would bet Vrabel took an approach with Diggs where he emphasized that this is a really young receivers room, and they need him to be a leader in it.

We are Contenting this year if we Draft that Offensive Tackle who can Start on Day 1.

More specifically... the Giants have been a mess since Tom Coughlin left.

It starts at the top and trickles down.
Wozzy what do you think of this move??

Diggs is coming off knee surgery, the good news is he got injured halfway through the year and had surgery immediately. Hopefully by mid to late season this year he'll start to ramp up and improve. Project his numbers out over a full season last year and he would have had roughly 1000 yards and 6 TD's. He's not a "#1" anymore, but might still be a good WR.

But he's on the wrong side of 30, coming off an ACL tear, but nobody wanted to come to the Pats either so it's a match made in heaven. 26 million is not too egregious, they needed someone. If they really want to put their foot on the gas they should sign Amari Cooper as well.

Sign a free agent tackle as well, the only guys left will also be reasonably priced.
