Apologize for the delay but it's been a crazy long day at my real life job lol

Off the board as expected is Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter and Cam Ward.

Please submit your selection by 6:30PM TODAY the 12th.

The choices are based on recent mocks from popular sites. As referenced here...

I voted T-Mac. Let me share the reasoning for my vote.

Obviously this is the worst case scenario come true, Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter both gone. No Trade down in sight.

To me T-Mac is the best offensive value.

We shored up our defense greatly in free agency. Even if we don't add a single extra defender in the draft I would be pretty comfortable going into the season with our defense. The offense needs the most help. Plus I'm downgrading Graham here because of size limitations, weighed in at only 296, 32" arms, body described as stay puff marshmallow man. Doesn't scream high draft pick to me.

Now I know a lot of fans of Campbell and Membou out there. But Campbell again has the stubby arms issue, his arms are less than 32" when you're really looking for 33.5" for the left tackle position. Membou is a real athletic RT but we just signed an RT in free agency. I don't feel you spend the #4 overall to have him sit a year behind the veteran when you have needs all over the field.

Here's the case for T-Mac. To me he's the embodiment of what IF a guy the size of Gronk played WR for us?

He becomes an instant safety blanket for Drake Maye. He's a huge weapon in the redzone, no CB is gonna outjump him down there. And he does an excellent job of coming back to the football and helping his QB in the tapes that I've seen. And yes some of his big plays are on busted coverages, but it's still a talent to make yourself available to seize those opportunities.

I think the mismatches that T-Mac creates on offense will at some point demand double teams for shorter DBs to contend with him and that will open up the field for others. For this reason I believe T-Mac is a better pick for us at #4 than a guard with stubby arms or a talented RT. Let's ARM Drake Maye with a genuine weapon. I can see T-Mac turning into a WR1 for us.

I haven't been on the T-Mac hype train at all before the draft. But to me this pick makes the most sense IF the draft board ends up looking like this and we can't trade down. Just give Drake Maye big time weapon. Get your OL in the 2nd.

Not 100% against Tet but I voted Campbell.

Campbell's arms are not less than 32". They're 32 5/8". It's 3/8 of an inch short. While I understand that's not ideal, it's not a deal breaker either. Other guys are starting at a high level at tackle with sub 33" arms.

I think Campbell is a tackle but obviously could be an all pro guard. He might even be able to play all 5 spots along the line. Maybe Zack Martin or Steve Hutchinson isn't worth the 4th pick to many, but in a year without elite talent, that versatility is not a bad thing.

@VJCPatriot I like your rational for wanting Tet and I don't disagree with it, but my problem is the player. I am not convinced that Tet is better than Higgins. Below are links of all of Higgins targets and the other is a link to all of Tets targets.

Milton Williams is 6-3 290 with 31.5 inch arms, so the argument against Graham is not valid in my mind. I think the Graham is every bit as quick as Williams but not as fast. I could see Williams being utilized at DE at times and if Graham were inside next to Barmore or White would cause havoc.

This team needs to upgrade LT and LG for the upcoming season, Campbell does one of those 2 things, either works out at LT or LG, and Membou could take over next year for MoMo(Morgan Moses) and be a top of the line RT potentially. A big concern of mine about Campbell is how tall he is in his 2 pt stance.

I voted Mason Graham because I think that he is BPA of the players listed above, but if we end up drafting based on need I think that Campbell or Tet would each be good picks.

I believe allowing trades would just open too much can of worms for a mock with so many owners so we're drafting according strictly to original draft order.
And I would make Tampa trade a ton to the Pats for no other reason than I really like the Pats and my wife is a Bucs fan so it would piss her off. I live for that ****.

IF I'm stuck and HAVE to pick at 4, this is my pick. Campbell was a consensus high first round pick up until his arm measurement. He was already gritty and tough and now he's got a huge chip on his shoulder and will be out to prove everyone wrong. If SCAR vouches for him, I certainly do to. He could be your LT for 10+ years.

Yeah trades would only slow the process which is already likely going to be at a snail pace. I want to give this 1st round selection time to see what shakes out in free agency so you should be able to change your vote if you want. I'll accept write in votes but this seemed like the consensus choices so I didn't want to go down a rabbit hole of why did I leave this guy off lol

Thats the worst case scenerio in my mind and would be looking to trade down to anyone who wants Sanders but sticking to the prompt i voted Campbell. Measurements are not the be all and end all and while i am concerned about his wingspan i always go back to the tape. An excellent point was raised when talking about interior line during FA for those saying its not a dire need. Name one starter on the 2026 o line you are 100% sure will be there. Big Mike gets even more expensive and is easy to cut after this year. David Andrews is old and might retire. Strange would be a free agent. Moses is 34 and really how long can he be counted on to continue being average? Give Campbell a shot at LT this year, at a bare minimum he has to be better then Lowe right? He cant make it then try drfting a LT again next year and kick him in to guard. As long as we get a 5 year starter on the Oline it doesnt really matter what position he plays and bottom line is based on the tape Campbell is the best prospect to gives you that floor. So i would hold my nose and not be thrilled with the value but its the best of the worst scenario.

I do believe in Layden but yes they arent solid at any position of the line.

I went with Campbell as well. I think, in a vacuum, his arm length is a problem, but it doesn't account for the player as a whole. I read is he has exceptional footwork, which may negate the short wingspan. I think the blue chip drop from top 3 to 4 is substantial, but I believe he's going to be the best LT in this class.

I believe it was Bill Walsh of 49'ers fame that said he didn't care about arm length numbers among others and went on to say if a guy can play, IE: Campbell, then you take him. Obviously, I'm paraphrasing. So, my bottom line is we take Campbell at #4!

Campbell with a commanding lead. Do we still gotta wait to Friday?

Voting will officially end at 7:30PM

Looks like it is Campbell unless I can go create a lot of accounts.
