2. Trading him instead of cutting him creates additional cap space, since New Orleans has to take on his guaranteed salary
Hopefully we can find some Late Round Gens from the bunch.I believe that's the 4th to last pick in the draft, pick no 254. We now have four 7th round picks. At least we'll get a head start on UDFA.
Edit: Nevermind. See below.
Thankfully there’s this great thing called “free agency” in a few hours! I bet the roster will look a little different soon.At least he was a warm body, this roster really really sucks. As of 7:41 on 3/10/25 I am back to think this whole rebuild is still 2-3 years away.
A bit of an attitude, other teams knew they wanted to dump him, and he had guaranteed salary this year. It wouldn’t have been a surprise to see other teams just wait on his release to get a better deal on him for nothing. The fact the Pats got anything is a plus. The guy had an attitude issue last year and isn’t a scheme fit for Vrabel’s defense. Not sorry to see him go, but I wish him luck anyway.
IF we hit in this FA and the Draft we are a lot closer than you think. It's us and the Bills...NY and Miami are now in Cap hell for a while. At least he was a warm body, this roster really really sucks. As of 7:41 on 3/10/25 I am back to think this whole rebuild is still 2-3 years away.
He was giving me humble pie Adalius Thomas 09 vibes. The fact the Pats got anything is a plus. The guy had an attitude issue last year and isn’t a scheme fit for Vrabel’s defense. Not sorry to see him go, but I wish him luck anyway.
It's always best to assume.Could we assume that a new D-Lineman or two are to be announced soon?
