That’s too low unless the Pats are targeting a player in that range
I know what the chart says
I want 18 and this years 2nd rounder and next years 1st
That’s a huge jump into the Top 5
And they lost an addition to a deal with us when they traded Metcalf. Edit: If they want our #4, they need to cough up their #18 and their 2nd Rounder this draft, and their 1st and 2nd Round picks in the next draft.

Nobody wants a 3rd rounder to move from 20s to mid 30s. So we end up not finding a draft partner to trade up and end up drafting projects in 3rd round who invariably bust. Don't trade down unless you get a high 2nd in 2025 or round 1 in 2026. Not worth it.
With the alternative being over-drafting someone that’ll be there a few picks later? You may as well take value.

Are we 100% sure. It's too much of a risk. No point losing the player we cover for a 3rd rounder. I am okay if we come up with smaller number of draft picks but everyone is a value pick. Too often in recent past we have just been shooting quiver of arrows and majority are misses

You know the idea of them looking to sign a center is making more sense to me. I think Vrabel views the position as crucial from leadership standpoint and expects that player to be tough, smart, reliable, play hurt, etc. Can’t count on Andrews’ or Strange’s health for that role.

Vrabel is in charge now. Past draft history is kind of irrelevant

I'm fine with it, but they still need to draft a guy.
With this move, and if nothing else comes, would be a strong indication they're going T in the draft at some point

I dont expect any skill players to sign with the Pats today. It’s going to be all about beef. I’m not sure what they’ll do at WR if Travis Hunter doesn’t fall to 4

Too bad. Was hoping that the Pats would steal him from the Jets.
