But I doubt anyone would pay that high a price for him (and that's even if we didn't have so many other needs like OL and Defense). I know I wouldn't trade the #4 for him (and I actually would like him as a WR on our team).Weird considering their new OC I believe said his biggest goal was to focus the offense around DK and figuring ways how to use him better.
Maybe if you gave up the 4th pick you could force them to change their minds. Outside of that DK I highly doubt is going anywhere.
A lot of good ones in Providence too.Find out if he likes Italian food, if he does send him the name of every restaurant in the Northend.

We should be. I don't think his comments about coming to the northeast and concerning at all.. there were plenty of players over the years leary about coming here and we were winning superbowls. I think if we did go after him..talking to Vrabel and Drake would give him the optimism to come here. Geno Smith or Drake Maye....Report: Patriots Tried to Land Seahawks Star WR
The New England Patriots are in dire need of receiving help, and with abundant cap space heading into the offseason, they have the means to acquire one. Howeverwww.si.com
Very true.. I believe Vrabel's vision is just that.. he said it plentiful over combine week. Build up the lines or scrimmage first. I still think they are going to try to swing a trade for a guy at WR.. but the trenches is what's priority.Build out the OL first. We have been obsessed with the WR position since Terry Glenn departed, but the Pats need to focus on the basics first. The WR is the cherry on top.
I look at it this way. If Randy Moss can't save a bad Raiders team, Metcalf isn't going to be the savior for the Pats.
It was mentioned alot this week from Perry and others that Drake will be involved in the recruitment process for guys.Get him on FaceTime with Mike and Drake.
Exactly I love that, and they should let Maye watch film of the prospects and free agents and have some input. It was mentioned alot this week from Perry and others that Drake will be involved in the recruitment process for guys.
I like DK and I'd say offer the 3rd and a pick next season. I'd also like the team to be in on Olave as well.I'd be good with it. I'm curious how the contract would look though. He is on the last year of his deal and has a 32M cap hit right now and is on the last year of his contract (he has a fake year after this). The question is what do they want. our second rd pick is what they would want, but i'm not giving up the 36th pick on a rookie contract for a WR who while good, isn't 'That Guy'.
I'd trade our 3rd and maybe another lower pick. if not just pick a guy up in free agency and keep the draft pick. And of course we'd need to do something about his contract. I'm sure they would dig in their heels for a 2nd... and while he is worth a mid second... he ain't worth a high second with the contract already built in IMO.
Yes, as he's the face of the organization and the draw for guys. Drake was already campaigning during the pro bowl. Love it. That southern charm and dialect he has just wins people over.Exactly I love that, and they should let Maye watch film of the prospects and free agents and have some input.
Sorry, Olave is awesome, but we don't need a guy that may retire after week 1I like DK and I'd say offer the 3rd and a pick next season. I'd also like the team to be in on Olave as well.
We've had plenty of guys that retired before week 1.. Reggie Wayne, tory holt, just saying...Sorry, Olave is awesome, but we don't need a guy that may retire after week 1
They didn't COST anything. We've had plenty of guys that retired before week 1.. Reggie Wayne, tory holt, just saying...
A 3rd? 4th?They didn't COST anything.
Olave WILL.
I’m inAhHa Cousins, You want to be stngy with our #4 picl? This might be a solution that adds both Metcalf and LT Charles Crsoss to the Pats.
Nice simple Saturday breakfast. Two eggs over easy with crumbled up maple bacon and a slice of American Cheese. An Asiago cheese bagel with cream cheese on the side heated. Pomegranate/ cranberry juice and a vup of coffee.
Here is my blueprint which is less NBA for those that were offended.
"The Seattle Seahawks are in a tough spot when it comes to their salary cap situation going into the 2025 offseason. Heading into the Super Bowl, they were around $31 million over the cap in regards to effective cap space for this coming season.
LT Charles Cross, Seattle Seahawks. This past season was a breakout year for Cross, as he generated his best PFF grades to date, setting new high watermarks as both a run (77.9) and pass (81.3) blocker. "
They just saved some with a restructure but a long way to go.
At the end of the Draft, the Hawks still need a QB and unless they use up Draft capital to get one they for sure can't spend anything FA. Geno is the longest lasting "bridge" QB in the NFL (now a FA)) and the Hawks need an upgrade. How about we give them Joe Milton? He's better than the field of suspect this year.
Ready?
Pats #4 pick plus Joe Milton, for the Hawks #18, Metcalf and Cross......which helps their CAP issue. Now the Hawks can trade down and get more picks or stay.. The proviso would be a contract extension for DK (has to be large)..
This is a fair deal for both Teams. It's not an NBA deal and frees the Hawks of almost $36mm. Cross' fifth-year salary of $17,560,000. Both are expiring contracts so Wolf has work to do but two young players in their prime.
Thoughts?
