I'd give up the 38th overall pick straight up for Higgins if the Pats only had to pay him what the Bengals paid him over the duration of his rookie contract ($32 million total for five seasons).Tee Higgins was the 33rd overall when he was originally Drafted. I think he more than lived up to his Draft billing. Let's hang on to #38 Hof selection.
I'd make Higgins the highest paid WR in the NFL in terms of guaranteed money if the Pats could hang on to the 38th overall pick and use it to address one of the many other positions this teams needs to improve on.
I'm not willing to do both because Higgins isn't worth that. If the Bengals do franchise tag him, and he gets moved for a 2nd rounder (or better) and gets extended for $30+ million per season, I'll be shocked. I just don't see it happening.
