Perhaps, but Ward sounds like he’ll be the first QB off the board, so they may have to aim for a higher pick.

The Raiders at 6, Jets at 7, Saints at 9, and potentially the Colts at 14 are all possible candidates to be jockeying against one another. I would be surprised if Cam Ward doesn't go to the Titans at 1. Depending on what's available to NE at 4, they may be able to generate some bidding to get one team to trade up and secure Sanders before someone else does.

Conversely, a team may trade up into the top 3 picks ahead of NE to take Sanders - but that means that just pushes a non-QB prospect down (like, for instance, Travis Hunter), which the Pats can then take that player if they love him, or maybe get someone else to trade up for that player.

Personally, I'm hoping that at least 2 QB's go in the Top 3, and that best case is that Abdul Carter is there for us at #4.

I don’t count the Jets, I don’t see them doing business. I would prefer the Saints because I wouldn’t want to drop to 9.

The depressing version of the draft would be that nobody wants a QB in the first couple of picks, and because the draft seems pretty flat in the 4-12 range it might be hard to trade down within in that range. Might make for a somewhat underwhelming pick for us at 4.

Let's hope the top QBs do well at their Pro days.

I would like to trade down far enough to get Golden, in the first round, he’s my favorite receiver in this draft.

If we play it right we could leave the first round with a Tackle and a WR.

Any interest in trading 4 for the Saints 9, Olave and another pick?

Maybe dreaming, but with Braun being potentially linked to NE & Carter maybe available at #4, there is something to consider.

With Carter, Braun, and Gonzalez, you have one impact player at each of the three levels. And while that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve shored up all holes, it would give NE a chance for something good to happen in different areas of the field…

Throw in Josh Sweat and his teammate Milton Williams and get a true FS like Jevon Holland, and it gets even better for the Defense.

Only if it's their #9, Olave, their 2nd and 4th Round Picks in this Draft, and a 2nd Round Pick in 2026. And even then, it would depend greatly on who we get in FA.

why would Kellen Moores first order of business would be to trade their top wide out?

They are in really bad cap shape so there were rumors they might try to trade him.

The Saints are in the worst cap situation in the league and need to free up space. Olave is entering the final year of his rookie contract and the Saints have until May 1st to decide if they want to exercise his fifth year option (set at $15.1 million for 2026). He’s had five documented concussions, including one at Ohio State in 2020 and at least one in each of his three seasons as a pro (one in 2022, one in 2023, and two within weeks of each other in 2024). His health is in question and he’s about to be much more expensive than the Saints may be able to afford. It would be more cost effective for the Saints to trade him for cap relief (as minimal as it would be for 2025, it’s more for not paying 2026 and beyond) and draft picks, and simply draft a new WR who will cost less and who they won’t have to worry about breaking the bank for for another 4-5 years.

The only thing is Saints management have deluded themselves into believing they are still in a contention window and refuse to rebuild, when realistically their window shut down when Brees retired after the 2020 season. They also foolishly extended Kamara despite him going into his age 30 season, which is ancient in RB years. Maybe they deal Olave, maybe they extend him. They’re a poorly run organization, so all possibilities are in play.

If Carter isn't there then I'd rather take Campbell.. watching something on him yesterday on ESPN and his arm length isn't a problem guy's got great technique..if we drafted him maybe lowe could learn how to block from a rookie.

I love Golden too but Bond is a very similar Wide Receiver we can have outside the First. Also don't sleep on Tez Johnson either very slight but extremely good. This is sneaky Decent WR Draft.
