Perhaps we would be better if he is there at 4# to trade down.Every year videos get made explaining why this guy is the best or that is. I think most of them are made by family members. I think another reason we lack enthusiasm is because we have more holes than WR. I honestly don't think Tet is that much better than Jayden Higgins or Burden is much better than Jalen Royals, for the things I like in a WR.
I think Hunter has the best traits as a WR but he mostly sticks to one side of the formation and his routes are pretty raw (doesn't tempo consistently, release seems inconsistent). Has easy drops as do most WRs
Tet and Tre Harris are probably the two best but mine are probably Kaden Prather and Dont'e Thornton. I'm not saying they're WR1s but they're X receivers that need a compliment at Z/slot.@bakes @manxman2601 Who are your X-WR in this Draft?? Mines are Ricky White and Arian Smith.
Hunter is arguably the best CB in the draft and a legitimate case to be one of the top 5 WRs. He'll likely be one of the best athletes in the class, has plus character and excellent instincts. Don't overthink it, there's a reason he's a consensus top 2 prospect in this draft. It seems to me that Hunter has started to get some negativity. That mame Thornton just makes me wanna cry.Tet and Tre Harris are probably the two best but mine are probably Kaden Prather and Dont'e Thornton. I'm not saying they're WR1s but they're X receivers that need a compliment at Z/slot.
Here in the UK, Thorntons is the name of a quality chocolate brand so I just think about that instead. That mame Thornton just makes me wanna cry.

I know this was not directed to me, but I always have opinions. I like Arian Smith as a late day 3 z/slot, he is 6-0 and 175 pounds. Dude has really good speed but does not always use it. He seems super raw and I feel there are better developmental WRs, but if we got him in the 7th I would be alright with it.@bakes @manxman2601 Who are your X-WR in this Draft?? Great Observation Brother: I'll keep you in the loop next time... What do you think of WR Bru McCoy Tennessee??I know this was not directed to me, but I always have opinions. Ricky white is 6-0 180 pounds, I think he will be a great 3rd round Z. Great STs guy. 3rd round in my opinion is his sweet spot, runs pretty routes but not super crisp. He does not always use his hands well vs press, but has good foot fire releases. I like White more than smith but I am not sold on him being the best use of our 3rd round picks.
My preferences in X types are Jayden Higgins, who can also play as power slot because of his route running prowess. I think he is one of the best route runners in this draft, especially at the top of the route by using head fakes or foot movement. Pretty good at LOS with hands and feet, great hands and seems to snatch the ball really well as opposed to letting the ball come in to him. I think he has worked his way up to the 2nd round. Unless we pick up another 1 or 2 2nds I would rather they go a different direction. I will say as much as I like him that I am not 100% convinced he will have the same impact against NFL Corners.
Tre Harris is another X in my eyes, I do not like him as much as Higgins although he is currently better imo. Also a very good route runner with great hands, but the difference for me is that I don't think that Harris can slide into the slot in the NFL. I look for versatility in WRs because you can implement for complex sneaky play designs. Where as if someone is strictly an X there is only so much you can do with design. Personal preference. Again I would rather they go in a different direction in the 2nd unless we pick up more 2nd round picks.
My darkhorse X type is Donte Thornton Very fast on tape with decent hands, but did not have much opportunity because the QB was pretty hit and miss. He is a complete dart throw, but he kinda reminds me of Devaugh Vele from last year.
I see that you like Jayden Higgins and I do too: what's your take on his running make *Jaylin Noel*?? Cooper Kupp clone to me from the Slot.I know this was not directed to me, but I always have opinions. I like Arian Smith as a late day 3 z/slot, he is 6-0 and 175 pounds. He is 6-2 215 pounds. Had a bad ankle fracture in 2023 and did not have the burst that he had at USC. pretty decent route runner that IMO will be a better with horizontal routes (Digs, crossers and rounded outs, he is not crisp). really good hands and can shield with his big ass body but I think he will be an OPI machine. He is in the Brenden Rice/Jauan Jennings mold, could take awhile to be relevant and is 24, so I would pass.Great Observation Brother: I'll keep you in the loop next time... Some Draft review that profiled Bru McCoy rated him and very scheme friendly. I would take a shot in the later Rounds: I really liked Rice's Son last year I think he's in San Diego. He is 6-2 215 pounds. I forgot to add that Thronton is more Marques Valdes Scantling. When I said decent hands unfortunately, I think he follows the MVS mold that way too.
I ****ing love draft talk.I see that you like Jayden Higgins and I do too: what's your take on his running make *Jaylin Noel*?? Cooper Kupp clone to me from the Slot.
Gotta admit I feel the same when I watch QB Jackson Dart: man crush no Homo. I wouldn't ***** if we Draft him: I have a good feeling about him.I ****ing love draft talk.
Gotta be honest watching Noel makes my wiener tingle(Sorry TMI, I know). Noel is 5-10 and 195 pounds. I think he is a slot/Z, he is but will do most of his work in the slot. He is shorter and faster than Kupp, but Kupp changes directions quicker then Noel. Noel has a pretty small catch radius and 8.5 inch hands, speaking of his hands are inconsistent when catching. He has had 19 or so drops in his career so far, but his drop percentage decreased every year. I think he will be a slot stud, I like him more than Pop.
I found a couple people to look through
I will take 1 please. They have his height listed at 6-3 but I don't think he is that tall.
This is the kind of **** that Vrabel mentioned in the use of analytics.I really like the in game athleticism tracker. Really cool they are tracking actual speeds of the athletes in game now. I'd rather take a star in the pads, then a track star in shorts only.
Definitely a couple of guys to keep an eye out for.
Hopefully the Patriots can double dip at WR. Sadly their previous forays into drafting WRs have come up empty.
