He definitely wants to improve the OL and DL, he specifically mentioned impacting the opposing QB and protecting your QB. He also Does like BB, in the sense that they gameplan for each team rather than just sticking with one gameplan which seems like happened last year.
I'm feeling his roots are with the defense and wants to coach pass rushers he can use to scheme. Short passing game with a big back.. I think he's a Mason guy ....
I just want him to rebuild from the inside out. I get the need for a WR, I suppose, but I would do it via the the draft. Any "proven" WR will be at the very end of his usefulness by the time the rebuild of this wretched roster is complete. No need to appease the fanboys with shiny objects: build a solid team, from the inside out. I said last year that I thought the team should limit itself to acquisitions who weight 300 pounds or more. I was only sorta kidding.
I guess the real question is Vrabels past drafting skills. What does he like? Is he a lobster guy or just meat and potato? How was his drafting grade in Tennessee over the years?
Whoever we bring in fully trust Vrabels instincts. We will be able to run the ball and stop the run in the trenches. I look for us to be built up how the Titans trenches were under Vrabel.
I think Vrabel wants to be aggressive on offense and defense of course. We will dictate the line of scrimmage not get dictated. That's Vrabel philosophy and the types of players he likes. This isn't Ryan tannehill at QB.. look for Drake to be efficient and take the deep shots on 2nd 3 or 2nd and 5..
