Actually the Steel Curtain DC was indeed Bud Carson (I ****ed this up previously my apologies) but George Perles was also instrumental and obviously Chuck Noll had plenty to do with that also. Perles was a hell of a good football coach, as

Given the sometimes ludicrous modern bias towards offense in the NFL, I concur that Spags has become a dominant force as the Chrefs DC. Curious that nobodies like Liam Coen are getting HC gigs for smelling “One Title” Sean McVays farts and the Lions lose both coordinators after one great season while Spags is kept in KC.
A vastly underappreciated aspect to BBs success is how he continually had to hit the reset button after losing great assistants, something Andy Reid hasn’t had to contend with much for some curious reason.
