Overpopulated, unaffordable housing, terrible traffic other than that it's a great place to live..
I lived in Lynn for the first 38 years of my life, born at Lynn Hospital (also lived 3 and a half years in Scotland and one year in NH), before moving to WI in 2001. Took 10 years for my "Boston Accent" to water-down from what it was when I moved here.

Lynn! I have family in Lynn right off Boston street! They have been there since the 80s.. best move you could have made was moving out.. very wealthy state but not welcoming to families anymore.. I don't even recognize my beautiful city I grew up in anymore.. it's become DINK... duel income no kids.

Since 2001, I've only been back 3 times. Grandmother's Funeral, visited Grandfather in nursing home, Grandfather's Funeral. That's it. My late older brother lived in Rochester NH since the late '80's. He and his wife were killed 3 years ago by someone intentionally running their pickup truck through a Stop sign. COVID "Rules" wouldn't let me travel there for the funeral. The two times I've seen the Patriots Live were at Lambeau. I will NEVER visit the New England area, even though that was my home.

Wow!! Goodness. I'm sorry for all you've been through. Yeah the nut jobs here behind the wheel are worst than ever.. it took people to loose thier lives the drunk who killed the bikers in NH in 2019 in order for mass to get strict.. pme of my brothers drives OTR trucking and he says it's so peaceful driving though the Midwest.

Funny you should mention OTR Truckers. My late Brother had logged over a Million Miles as an OTR Trucker. He also drove from his house in NH to FL during the Winter and back, and yet he and his wife were murdered less than a mile from their house in NH. I drove a cargo van for a delivery company for 3 years in all types of weather and in and around downtown Boston. The driving here is much better!

Geesh!! Boy you have had some awful things happened in your family. My heart goes out to you and all you've been through pal!

Hey my brother from another.. yes I have some people I know out in Leominster ans Fitchburg area.. they like it say it's a welcome getaway from the city.. personally I wouldn't mind out metrowest..
lol. You city kids. Metrowest, Leominster, Fitchburg are all still the city. You’ve got to be out around Erving or Millers Falls to get away from the city. Or even better, west of Shelburne Falls. Then your talking God’s Country.

I know someone who lives in sherborn.. one of those towns off a town.. lol I think he's referring to moving outside Boston city limits..

I mean, the convo started by talking about the Cape and then RF2 suggested Metrowest was getting out of the city implying the cape isn’t. I’m just saying Metrowest is just the cape without beaches. You don’t get out of the city until you’re far enough west that Bostonnis no longer Hub of the Universe, instead that’s Northampton or maybe Amherst.

Yes I understand what you're saying. I been to easthampton before had to prove to through Worcester.. i questioned if I was still in Massachusetts. PF2 like me is from Boston so he was alluding to moving outside Boston to Fitchburg, lemonster area was worth considering.

If you do retire here.. go towards the south shore.. Boston is overpopulated and the traffic is beyond miserable.. look into the Bridgewaters or eatson, Massachusetts.
I already know the exact spot. My brother has already bought a summer house there. It's not a very well known place but it blows away most other places I've seen in Mass. Great Neck/Little Neck/Ipswich. Friends are already living in Newburyport and Plum Island. Other friends (from the midwest and western PA) have bought on the Cape. And one of my closest friends moved to Bristol, RI.

A lot of people I know have retired to Maine, but I like warm water. Not for me.

I see Hooper, Jones, elliss, Austin, hasty, ximmines back here. How about yourself?

Hasty is somebody you sign right before TC to fill out your 90-man if there's a late injury or something; he should never be considered a legitimate option for your post-TC 69. Ellis & Ximmines are non-priority UFAs; we have bigger fish - much, Much bigger - to fry...

Ipswich is a beautiful town. The only downside I'd you have to deal with RT 1 traffic and the beach goers may- September. Yes RI is another beautiful getaway.. warm weather is the best thing for the body..

Agreed.. those guys are depth guys. In order for the those guys to be after- thoughts vrabel needs to get some playakers at LB especially in here...

"We've destroyed Massachusetts, now let's move to New Hampshire and enjoy it's benefits, while turning it into the State that we just left!"

Any other way would be unamerican! =P More like it would be inhuman...

I found Wisconsin Dells to be really beautiful for some reason. Touristy but was peaceful in January.... =)

I was sooooo lucky my MA accent wasn't too strong to begin with but it was gone in a year. It rears its ugly head now and again when I talk fast though... >=|

I was there for 2 weeks this summer and saw absolutely no traffic. If I wanted to go to Boston, I'd take the train.

The particular spot I mentioned has barely any beachgoers because the Federal Park Rangers reserve only 15 spots for parking there, so there are always only a smattering of people for an enormous beach protected by a bay and with warm water.

You know, I've never been to The Dells! My buddy and his family spent a week there during one vacation he took in the summer. I haven't seen most of WI. I feel sometimes like a "Man without a State". On the one hand, I knew the New England Area like the back of my hand, but could never again call it home. On the other hand, even after 23 years, there's so little of just the Green Bay Area that I know, let alone the rest of WI. But, I wear my Patriots Jersey's whenever I can around here and will always be a Patriots Fan (as they've always been my favorite Team and the team I grew up with since I was a kid). I've been a Fan going all the way back to Plunkett. I'm not changing now.

Ipswich is nice. I also have been to the Topsfield Fair quite a few times. I became a Pilot through North Shore Community College while taking my Flight Training at Beverly Airport (where I also flew out of as a Coast Guard S&R 1st Officer/Co-Pilot out of Beverly). I'm a North Shore Boy. I also hunted Nantucket Island quite a bit, as I'd fly me and my buddies and a dog for Pheasant Hunting to there.

No Hasty please not even on the 90 man roster

I bolded my expectations.

I expect that we can do better than Hasty or Ximinez. However, I would be happy to see Ximinez here if Vrabel wanted him. I just expect him to sign elsewhere.
