Is it possible that the #1 pick wont be as valuable as we thought this year?

There is no draft phrase I hate more than "generational talent." It's bad enough that it is impossible to spot the generational talent in the draft for any given generation (sixth-rounder Tom Brady says hi), but it's so often wrongly applied. Was Trevor Lawrence the generational talent they proclaimed him to be? How about Marvin Harrison Junior?

Carter will go 1 and will become a devastating edge rusher and any goodwill that mayo had left among the fan base because of his playing days will go out the window.

Some team will talk themselves into one of the quarterbacks. Look at what happened with Tre Lance. While the Pats might not have gotten a treasure trove like Chicago did for Young, they likely would have gotten a nice package. Cam Ward is starting to get hyped up. Even if it would have been just a couple second round picks to move down a few spots, that would have been valuable for us.

It’s very likely to go Hunter, Carter, Ward.

I don’t think teams are high enough on Sanders to trade up. He’s not a top 10 talent and teams aren’t going to trade the farm for him
The QB needy Giants ain't passing S Sanders.

I would Trade #4 if I'm the Patriots: and move down some no further than 10. Of course getting another Second is key: and select one of the Offensive Tackle prospects.

They are not picking Sanders in top 3. He is not worth that value. Maybe they trade back to 6 or 7

I don't disagree about his value, but who do you see them having at QB this year if they don't take him? The vet free agents aren't anything to write home about.

I doubt that Sanders ain't passing the Raiders... slim pickings in FA at QB.

And they're a lot of QB needy Teams.

Right. That's why I'm not sure I see them risking trading back. If they talk themselves into Sanders, I think they just need to bite the bullet and do it with their pick.

Wouldn't shock me if Dart and Ewers move up... I really like Jackson Dart.

I am not going to make a big deal what a GM says in January about the draft. I mean he might be signaling to the Giants that the pick is for sale and they will drop back to three and take Hunter or Carter.

QBs always skyrocket up the draft board post the Combines. I don't think it will change this year. Guys like JJ McCarthy and Bo Nix were considered as low as second round picks at this point last year.

Travis Hunter says hello.
No thanks

The draft class scares me. I don't see the talent that I would expect at 4. I'm no draft guru so hopefully someone can change my opinion.
I feel much more confident in our draft abilities under Vrabel.. I'm thinking we take BPA.. that we likely be Carter.. if he's there at 4 take him. I've heard posters say he's small.. there have been smaller rushers that have caused offenses havoc.. Elvis dummervile for example.. von Miller isn't the tallest guy, and others. It's about the get off and getting low under OTs pad level. Sacks are nice but the.. pressures are what leads to INTs and flipping field positions.

I think Travis Hunter is the Best Player in the Draft: and if he's there at Four: I bet you Vrabel doesn't pass.
PF2 if here's there take him.. I'm going with BPA.. Vrabel won't mess this draft and FA up this year. I'm thinking Carter may be there at #4.
