It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Am I surprised about McDaniels getting the nod from Vrabels, no not at all. I'm torn really though, on the one hand I wanted fresh blood and an exciting up and coming play caller. But then again there is something to be said for giving the job to someone who's been there and done that. And I don't go along with this "it was all about Brady" McDaniels had the system for Brady and the two of them made it work. I hope the same applies with Maye. So is the the appointment exciting, perhaps not. But it ain't a bad one either. You all know how negative I am most of the time, but we're going to be just fine with Josh McDaniels. He has Drake Maybe, a QB savant with superb athleticism and all the intangibles. Just need to shore up the line and get some players who can get open and catch the ball, and Drake will throw for 4k yards, minimum.
Top 15 which is middle of the pack and Not 31st.McDaniels has had offenses in the top 15 (ypg) with Kyle Orton 2x, Derek Carr, Mac Jones and Matt Cassel
Crushed grain mixed with water, milk. Oatmeal is an example. Meh.
He only had Orton because he traded away a 4500 yard passer in his prime. An inept egregious GM decision that ultimately got him fired. Don't give him credit for Orton. Orton never should have started.McDaniels has had offenses in the top 15 (ypg) with Kyle Orton 2x, Derek Carr, Mac Jones and Matt Cassel

That's where Maye comes in. Top 15 with those QBs then Maye should be top ten or better.Top 15 which is middle of the pack and Not 31st.
I don't know if I would consider Dakota from Braintree a reliable source, but I will post this here anyway.
Assuming he picks up the offense well. That's where Maye comes in. Top 15 with those QBs then Maye should be top ten or better.
Get Maye Tee Higgins and we'll say Brady is no Drake Maye.Drake Maye is no Tom Brady.
Don't get me started Rob above average?? How about Very Good??Assuming he picks up the offense well.
First order of business is getting the o-line to passable and adding a couple of above-average receiving targets.
Jay Cutler was no ordinary 4500 yard passer. He was also a culture wrecker in the locker room. In some ways it is amazing that he had the statistics he had playing with team mates that hated him.He only had Orton because he traded away a 4500 yard passer in his prime. An inept egregious GM decision that ultimately got him fired. Don't give him credit for Orton. Orton never should have started.
Yea I don't think Josh will "ruin" Drake but my concern is a)system fit and b) ******ing his growth.
I said in another post bringing in a guy like Hoyer - who has played in multiple systems, to mentor Drake would be a bad idea.
The QB coach also needs to be able to help the QB with his game preparation and mental approach which is where Hoyer could help. With two young QB's to develop there is room to add Hoyer as asst QB coach with the primary guy focused on the role you describe.I think the QB coach needs to be a technical coach that works with Maye on footwork, delivery etc…, as Brady had with Rodriquez and Tom House, the OC and Vrabel will work with him on everything game related. I don’t believe Hoyer has that background.
I don't hate Josh by any means, but I just want to move on from the dynasty. This just feels like the organization clinging onto the past, trying to keep those ties to the good old days instead of starting fresh. Sure, an unfamiliar coaching staff could fail miserably, but at least it would be a clean slate. The Krafts just seem scared to take this team into 2025 and want to try and recreate 2005. The game has moved on and advanced, and to me, at least, the biggest reason why Bill lost his fastball is because he didn't adapt to the way the game is evolving. Sure, maybe Vrabel has the foresight to push us forward, but this McDaniels hire is yet another sign we are still clinging to what was.Yeah it’s pathetic

I understand that sentiment. But, Josh is a very good OC in his own right.I don't hate Josh by any means, but I just want to move on from the dynasty.
