Time to overhaul offensive personnel. There’s going to be a lot of turnover this offseason. I have no doubt Drake will figure it out over the next yr or two to the point that he’s flying but it’s the receivers and OL I worry about.
Our 2 decent receivers Pop and Boutte already have a year using it with BoB.

Woohooo

Not looking outside the Patriots family again McDaniels is a myth with an overly complicated outdated system that has never developed an elite outside WR and that's sucked without Brady and don't give me Mac Jones, Mac Jones played about 5 good games.

Kraft hire.
Vrabel does not agree

So clearly everyone else knows who else was on the market and how they would approach working with Drake Maye. Bob Kraft made this hire etc…you don’t bring in Vrabel and pay him what he’s getting paid if you’re going to just make hires for him. What I’m saying here is relax. Trust that Vrabel is pulling the strings and decided McDaniels was the best guy for the job.

Vrabel does not agree
Or Vrabel hired him cause the Krafts like him and he's being paid by the Raiders and he didn't have his own candidate.

Lets use common sense, we know the Krafts love to get involved in football ops now and they're all about budgets and they're paying Vrabel handsomely so they're basically getting an OC for free.

Be as well hiring Byron Leftwich he was good with Brady too and an "offensive genius" and unemployed and terrible without him, that's Josh McDaniels.

People don't like the facts, they think Josh McDaniels is good cause Tom Brady carried him in and cause Mac Jones looked average for a few weeks but he's never done with Detroit just did with Goff or what Shanahan has done with Purdy or what Minnesota got out of Darnold.

This is a Tom Brady offense that doesn't fit Drake Maye.
Didn't he make Matt Cassell look like a legit NFL starter for a season? Yeah, I think he did.

The drafting is the real concern. Sure it's not a new name but at least he's been there and done that. Vrabel can literally focus on defense and special teams. Isn't this what we complained about when Patricia came in as of? BB was spread to thin. It's a safe choice but there are worst choices. The real issue is getting players and playmakers.

Common sense dictated this made sense from the get go. No conspiracies necessary.

I think he's a very bright guy who doesn't have the people skills to exceed as a head coach but can be a top coordinator. He's not likely to get a 3rd chance as HC, so I expect he'll dig in and succeed for the long haul. He showed some versatility in finding some ways to be competitive with the likes of Cam and Mac taking snaps.

Give him some good groceries (WRs, OTs) and I think he'll do well.

I get it folks. Most people wanted someone that hadn't coached under Bill. I too was open to someone who was from outside of Bill's Coaching "Tree". That being said, there's still a lot of moves to be made, Free Agency and The Draft haven't happened yet, nor has Training Camp. Too many people are acting like this is the proverbial end of the world. Can we all just wait and see for just a little bit?

He's a good offensive coordinator.

I was just hoping it would be someone who wasn't a Patriots retread, and the opposite of a full reset.
I'm sure McDaniels can help translate his offense to the WCO kids, but I also wish that transition didn't have to waste time and take place.

And at least this time, no one will be knocking on his door for a HC gig - so I suppose stability is part of the hire as well.

I'm not surprised.
