Might start putting Tre Harris in my mocks. From draft Buzz:
I like Harris a lot. Not a speedster but he can create a position. Good hands and very effective in the RedZone. He can definitely play outside. To me second round prospect.

If Carter is there, I think it has to be him. White is much better inside rusher. If, though not counting on it, Barmore comes back 100% you have 2 good inside rushers and nothing on the outside.

You at least have a chance to get Stanley and some lineman in free agency, and possibly Higgins as wr.
But nobody in Free Agency is a top-notch pass rusher from the edge.

Top edge rushing guys in free agency are:
33 year old Mack
33 year old Lawrence
31 year old Reddick looking for a huge contract after no showing a year
Josh Sweat, would be nice as a second guy but meh

Mason Graham. We will love him for 8 to 10 years.
Vrabel mentioned in one of the many interviews. He looks for players that are all about the team
Hard workers and leaders. He also mentioned the Offense and defense lines and their importance
Graham fits all of those traits

He does. So does Will Campbell.

Seen some interviews with Campbell
No nonsense. Massive Leadership
I like Campbell, but Graham has dominated for three years, getting better each year. That dominance and consistency makes him my 4th pick unless somehow Hunter is still around.

I'm thinking about Campbell as Vrabel's Logan Mankins. Not necessarily as like for like abilities but in terms of being the leader and tone setter on the OL for a decade. It would be nice if he could stick at LT but having just watched some, admittedly, highlights, I think he could be a baller at LG. A high first round pick on a guard is a bit much, but add in the leadership element and I could justify it logically. This off season HAS to be about adding leaders and changing the locker room mentality on the team.

I'd still have him behind Carter and Graham on my board, but having watched and researched Campbell, the gap isn't as big as it was beforehand.

When you have to have a locker room that Vrabel wants you need multiple genuine Leaders
Campbell and Graham are candidates and both have that non stop motor that Vrabes played with
How is Carter as far as a leader

haven't seen anything overly positive or negative. However, sometimes you can just lead by putting in week to week exceptional performances.

I love Campbell's make up. If his arms measure out, he's my pick.
That's really his biggest issue. The size, strength, and talent are there. But from what I hear he has 33" or shorter arms so he might be best as a Guard at the NFL level. I don't want to spend any more high draft picks on guards. Strange was a big reach and couldn't even make it as guard and has to play Center for us now. Sure Campbell could be an elite guard but that's not worth our #4 pick. Not even close.

Sorry, I find leadership overrated compared to talent to play the position.

It's a nice bonus but that's not my first factor to select a player.

Was N'Keal Harry chosen by BB for his potential leadership and great interview? We all know how that turned out.

You need talent obviously
Team chemistry and cohesiveness is a dynamic in any team type profession
When players know they will be held accountable and want to win for the team
Those traits can win a lot of games
Saying that you must also be a baller
But if you have a choice of two closely rated players
Take the leader each and every time

The 4 spot isn’t terrible. If two QBs go in the top 3, we will have one of Hunter or Carter sitting there with Graham an option too. If a QB makes it to 4, we should be able to trade down. Raiders at 6, Jets at 7, Saints at 9 all options.

It does feel a top 10 lacking in blue chip talent. If that’s the case, we need to find a foundational piece who can be a member of the team for the next decade. I’d love to find a stud tackle or pass rusher but I don’t think we’d be disappointed with Mason Graham.

I love Campbell's make up. If his arms measure out, he's my pick.

It's interesting that arm length is so critical for OTs with 33 inches being the absolute cutoff. From what I heard, Campbell will have no issues mirroring the faster smaller DEs but if his arms don't measure he'll struggle with the larger long armed DEs.

I think he has a make up that Vrabel and all coaches for that matter will love.

Given what's on the line $$$$, you'd think he spend all day holding 100lb dumbells or hanging on a chin up bar. I'm curious if there is a way medically or otherwise to elongate one's arms? It could literally come down to 1/8 or 1/4 inch in terms of what his Draft fate is.

So I have a question for you all. Once FA is over, will this thread be moot? Few obvious LT standouts in the draft and, sadly, I have little confidence in our ability to develop a notable WR.

Edit: I know this isn't an original or particularly insightful idea

If Drew Allar decides to enter the draft then it gets interesting and I think trading out becomes a lot easier.

In light of the above, I think Charles Grant of William & Mary is someone I really like as a developmental prospect. 35+" arms, a reported 1.44 10 yd split (for comparison, Terron Armstead was 1.66) are nice selling points on him and he's really smooth on the move and he's successful only allowing 3 sacks in three years of starting along with no more than 8 hurries in a season. I acknowledge that those last stats are as much about competition level as they are about his abilities which is why I view him as a late 3rd/4th round developmental guy but I have a thing for smooth athletic OLs as some of you may remember and Grant gives similar vibes to Terron Armstead and Shaq Mason in terms of athleticism and smoothness.

Downsides are competition level and lack of experience playing against the type of guys he'll see in the NFL and size is the other issue. He has exceptional arm length but 6'4" and 300lbs (maybe as low as 290) are not ideal.

I think you mean Mason Graham and I came here to post just that. For two reasons I believe:

1. Vrabel's Titans were built around the trenches and Graham best fits that philosophy at 4.
2. Graham is a high floor prospect and I believe Vrabel will want to nail his first pick as a tone setter.

Also, I wonder if a back like Kalel Mullings would be on the radar at 6-2 233.
Holy ****!!! Where you been?

I've been away from Football for a number of year for a myriad of reasons but I've got some time available now and got the urge to dip my toes in the water again and to rejoin all you fine fellows (and Patchick). And it feels good to be back.

Nice to have you here. Your help in draft process is priceless. I am just wondering what is going on with BGC?
