The Mayo decision was quite frankly ridiculous he was so out of his depth it was embarrassing for him and the franchise, he was at least 5 years of being a real defensive coordinator calling plays away from being close to ready for a shot.

You almost never see a guy with his CV and limited experience get a head coaching job so quickly.

Think so. But still sounds like a lot of discussions still have to be had. I definitely don't think the GM staff as a whole is set. Mike likely wants to bring in some of his own guys.

Edit: just as I posted this was addressed in the presser. Mike made it clear nothing is finalized, they did mention he may be bringing in some guys of his own.
