A lot of frustration there following this season, and it looks like Welker is among the first people to be swept out heading into the offseason.

Welker's got a friend in Vegas and they'll be hiring. Just sayin'
OFC he may soon have one here too...

I threw this into the Vrabel/Johnson thread too. Interesting. I don't think WR coaching appeared to be an issue in Miami, at least as far as I saw. Maybe there's a spot for him in NE? He coached with Vrabel in Houston.

Yet against our defense they looked like the 99 rams

I am glad the Patriots avoided this "let's blame the lower tier coaches" garbage

Like Miami the Patriots F.O. still also a problem

I bet Wes and Tyreek didn't have a great relationship he took the hit. He was the sacrificial lamb to calm the toddler having a tantrum.

Lol. Welker isn't the reason for the Dolphins downfall, but someone has to be the fall guy.

Like Shanahan, McDaniel needs to take some responsibility. The Dolphins don't have a ground game, intermediate passing game and McDaniel runs out plays after his initial scripted first drive.

Let’s bring him back as a player! Bet he would be better than 3/4 of the WR here now. lol

While googling crap I just discovered that the Houston Texans' WR Coach/Passing Game Coordinator is Josh McDaniels' brother Ben McDaniels. I had no clue. Interesting nugget.

It was a pretty big issue. Almost every WR regressed this season. Tyreek Hill ran the wrong routes constantly. Hill and Waddle's route running was off. The only WR that didn't seem to actively regress was Washington and he apparently took half the season to learn his routes before he could play consistently. These issues may not all be attributable to the WR coach, but I don't think they're a selling point for him either.

I'd hope they look at WR coaches with more experience and better track record first.

I'm not sure if Welker has been a good WR coach or not. He's bounced around a lot the last few years: TEX, SF, MIA

But, he can't be worse than what we've had here! When guys consistently regress with the Pats, something has to point to coaching/scheme. Which is a sad reason why I say it's time to let Troy Brown go back to podcasting.

IIRC, Vrabel et al. declared Welker an "honorary linebacker" after SB42.

Somehow I have a hard time seeing Welker and Tyreek getting along
They've jabbed at each other in public. I would not be surprised.

Also Waddle had an off year. Might as well blame that on Wes as well.
