SOFJ! They win a meaningless game to make their draft position worse, and...

PS: Look at all those empty seats!
Me and my brother (& a bunch of other STHs) got to hold the flag on the field for yesterdays game. We did much better than the Jete.

I even talked a little trash to Josh Allen.

Fun experience.

How did you get chosen for that and what did you say to Allen?

Our season ticket rep offered it to us. We are one of the longest tenured STHs so we get some offers of gratitude somewhat regularly. We're also Foxboro residents too so they really like us.

I was just kind of having a good time at midfield just before the anthem and I had one hand in the flag and with my other hand I pointed at the sideline and yelled they didn't want any of this then I realized I was pointing right at Allen. He was kind of laughing. Not sure if just got a kick out of the goofball in front of him or if he was laughing at the statement itself (like they weren't worried about 4-13 team they weren't even about to try against) but either way I thought it was cool lol.

We've been going through a rough time the last few years here, but we are totally secure in the knowledge that the Jete's situation is astronomically worse, to the point of hopeless. And has been for years.

LOL! Compare and contrast to:

The answer is, there's always someone dumb enough to take the Jete job.

Rexy is a perfect candidate: a total out-of-touch buffoon who will do what Woody wants him to do so the checks keep coming in.

Signing Rexy would guarantee yet another reboot in two years or less.

I would do it for the money.

(Obviously, I'm not rich)

He was all set, yet decided to be a clown.

TL;DR: Sports Illustrated aggregated some other columnist predicting that Ahole will end up in TEN on a 1 year, $25M contract.

It would so wild if he ends up repeating the late period of Brett Favre's team by doing dubious things while hopping from team to team just to keep the money flowing.

Would the following circumstances make da Jete or some other team want to spend $25M?

(Teams) will weigh how much acute in-season injuries hampered his performance and how much his 40 years are simply catching up to him. A general manager and coach who did not sign Rodgers will see he completed 63% of his passes for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions as the Jets squandered a series of games in which they led in the fourth quarter.

They’ll wonder: In 2025, will he more reflect the 112.5 passer rating player who rebounded from a tipped interception on his first pass to throw four touchdowns in the season finale? Or will he more resemble the 20th-best player who posted a 90.5 season-long QB rating, his mobility fading for extended periods and his chemistry with receivers unreliable?

I hope he stays with da Jete! It's clear he's disliked by most other players and even ownership has gone cold on him. It's clear he ruins chemistry while at the same time not understanding that he is the one ruining the chemistry. And make no mistake, that chemistry is ruined. Both Gardner and Wilson have let it be known they are unhappy, and if they are unhappy, so is the rest of the team.

On defense the team sacked a popular HC and exposed the DC. On offense they kept Ahole's chosen OC which means certain players got frozen out, then management froze out that OC. A total **** show.

Keeping Ahole on da Jete while a whole new GM and coaching team is installed will cause that setup to fail. Da Jete have no real other options at QB. They have no one on their roster who they can plug in, and no good FA or draft options either. They can't put in a late round rookie hoping he'll blossom, the fans and the ownership will **** all over that.

Bring it all back, says I!

KFC at the end trying to do an upside down and backwards S-T-E-J chant made me laugh.

The Rodgers/Favre comparison doesn't work for me.

Brett didn't ask ESPN to deify and overexpose him. Brett did leave everything out there on the field. He never pretended to be a cerebral quarterback, or person. But, from his first game for the Packers to his last with the Vikings, he made whatever team he played on a very competitive team. Period. And the wins reflect that.

He's been fairly criticized for his untimely picks, however I don't believe he had more of those than anyone else, including Brady and Montana. That NFCCG he was obviously injured on the previous play, they had time and downs and timeouts, and they should have run it a couple of times to let him walk it off at least a little - not to mention crossing it up for the Saints' defense. Instead, they dropped him back to pass, I got that familiar feeling I get when I see a team do something stupid and wrong, and to no surprise at all for me he got picked and it was over.

Aaron has been surrounded by media hype his entire professional career. I suppose it's not his fault. He is a competent, efficient and good quarterback. He was never great. He was never elite. He does not elevate and make big plays when the stakes and pressure are highest. He never said no to all the attention, praise and money. Can we blame him for that?

Favre is a first-ballot Hall of Famer. Rodgers is better than Derek Carr.

Favre sucked with the JETS. He was too busy texting **** pics to any female he could. Complete and utter ******* who revelled in scumbaggery as he used his his wife's pregnancy for sympathy as well as his father's death. Total ****.

And I won't say much about the whole Mississippi welfare money theft he was involved with nor the reveal of his Parkinson's diagnosis at a Congressional Hearing into said theft.

Got this via the grapevine yesterday.....for what it's worth
Rex is currently staying a swanky West Palm Beach hotel in recent days and has been frequently faxing scouting reports of college QBs to the Jets.
