Here you go. He may break the curse we've had since 2015 when Collins was the last draft pick to make it on defense.

"Gonzalez is thriving. He has given up a 71.5 passer rating in coverage. Opposing receivers have broken only 4.8% of his tackles, and he has committed only three penalties. Opponents have completed 51.9% of the passes thrown in his direction as the nearest defender in coverage, the third-lowest rate for a cornerback with at least 400 snaps on the outside. "

he's getting noticed.

I had my reservations about his play earlier this year.

Gotta say, his play of late has shut me up. Glad I was wr-wr-wr- incorrect

Hunter and Gonzo going to be the start of something special.

Very impressive given a shortened rookie season to get acclimated and the state of this defense. Essentially have let opposing QBs have all day to assess and wait for a WR to open up with Covington drawing up nothing for pressure.

Collins never made All-Pro for the Patriots.

Do you mean Pro Bowl? If you mean Pro Bowl, Hightower and JC Jackson and McCourty made it after that

He made 2nd team All Pro in 2015.

Hightower made 2nd team All Pro in 2016.

Daiyan Henley, 2nd Team All-Pro

I touted this guy over and over.

"I know LBs are the defensive equivalent of RBs these days, but people should not be shocked if this Roman Phifer clone gets taken in the 2nd round. He'd be a long time starter at LB for us."

"I think Henley is going to be a star talent in this league and somebody is going to take him in the 2nd. He's going to be one of those captain do it all guys who never gets publicity but somehow always makes the All-Pro team, like Fred Warner. Or Mayo."

And this one takes the cake: "On Dawand Jones, I would love to pick him, but do not be surprised if he drops into Day 3. There are so many examples of guys his size that are taken way later because they simply can't move well. Trent Brown was a 6th rounder, there are lots of players like that.

Keion White is a 6'5" 285 pound pass rushing edge setter who is a huge need for us because we have no one like that other than D Wise. White has the same ability and is even bigger and faster than Tyree Wilson. But White doesn't always play hard. I am so torn on this guy: measurables say top 10 player, can our DL coaches unlock the monster? He could be a Richard Seymour (Seymour was called a dog in college).

If we're really interested in a 3-down LB who excels at all facets, the player is not Trent Simpson, but D Henley.

I hope we don't take Hyatt, he is extremely limited as to what he can do, he has trouble getting off the line, he can't play against zone, and in fact, he seems to be a carbon copy of Tyquan. Why would we need 2 Tyquans?"

Now if they could only stop the run…

Unfortunately, Gonzo didn't even make the Pro Bowl

He is already elite/borderline elite. The job he has done vs WR1s this year has been outstanding.

Whether he gets All-Pro votes not sure.

What are the chances he gets all pro without even making the probowl?

I know voting between the two are completely different.

first time anyone has ever caught that reference... well done, well done indeed
I also got it.

Humphrey and Surtain will probably get first team because they play for competitive teams but Gonzo has played at their level. If I had to guess he'll get second team although if you just go on performance I think he should get first team.

Surtain should be 1.

I think Gonzo or Jaylon Johnson should be second. Chaverous Ward or McDuffie should also get some consideration.

In 2003 Rodney was a first team all pro and not a pro bowler. The pro bowl is purely a popularity contest. I'm sure there's lots of other examples but much like his HOF snub while guys he was as good as like Dawkins and Lynch get in this one bothers me.

Humphrey should be on my list too
