We now have the #1 pick. It'll be interesting if we show up and actually playWell, their 2nd stringers may have more to play for than their starters did the last game.

You mean our current Starters weren't Second Stringers??Well, their 2nd stringers may have more to play for than their starters did the last game.
Ask any kid who their favorite teacher is, it’ll usually be the one that is nicest to them/tries to be their buddy and gives them the least work. Conversely, the teachers that work the kids hard get a bad rep with the kids as “the worst” despite actually teaching them the most.I rewatched part of the game. (Am I a masochist?) There hasn't been much comment on the fact that before the game Harbaugh said they would "punch us in the mouth." They did, and the team, aside from Maye and a couple others, folded. That says more about how the team feels about Mayo than all the boilerplate happytalk about how much they "love playing for him." They like Mayo for the same reason that middle schoolers love to see a substitute teacher. Every day is a day off.
I taught school for years: high school. Thankfully, at least in a sound community, many students outgrow this attitude, not as many as we might like, but many of them. That's why I mentioned middle school, which is in many ways the darkest and least admirable interlude in our lives. These days I teach adult ed classes at the local college. Most of them are pretty well squared away. ;-)Ask any kid who their favorite teacher is, it’ll usually be the one that is nicest to them/tries to be their buddy and gives them the least work. My original intent for this reply was to shoot down this notion, but there's definitely more to it, and I can't disagree with you. I looked at the NextGenStats for fastest ball carriers, and I was saddened by what I saw. Nabers got up to 21.01mph. That's fine but not insane speed. The acceleration was nice but he was running away from a LB at the forefront, so it looked faster than it was. Thornton would have no trouble reaching that but looks like every other aspect of WRing was a problem. Imho, there's an issue with scheming or QB placement where WRs aren't able to catch in space to be able to get to full speed or stay at full speed during a catch. Here're the gory details.look at what a number 1 WR can do for your team. Unbelievable play by Nabers. His breakaway speed is insane. Patriots wide receivers look like pop warner players compared to him.
BB did not want Corky Jones and when he wanted to get rid of his axx and bring in Baker Mayfield, Thunder said NO. Everyone blames Patricia and Judge for Corkys downfall. What a joke. But his personnel decisions are still on full display.
The Jets would. We now have the #1 pick. It'll be interesting if we show up and actually play
No questionThe Jets would.
And, the Pats are the new Jets.
Still not the Jets who have not been to a super bowl in 56 years and still suck.No question
Especially If rumors are correct that Rex Ryan is going back to HC the Jets.No question
Rex Ryan is always a good coach for 2 years and then his arrogant loudmouth act wears thin. I actually think hiring Ryan is a good move for the Jets, because it will reignite fan interest in the short term.Especially If rumors are correct that Rex Ryan is going back to HC the Jets.
Ryan > Mayo an anybody > Mayo.Especially If rumors are correct that Rex Ryan is going back to HC the Jets.
Perhaps Rex learned something from his first go round as an NFL HC?Rex Ryan is always a good coach for 2 years and then his arrogant loudmouth act wears thin. I actually think hiring Ryan is a good move for the Jets, because it will reignite fan interest in the short term.
He will turn the defense around quickly, because they have talent and he knows how to evaluate defensive talent in terms of bringing in good players.
This one is an easy guess. He told the press, the fans, and every microphone the plan, but never actually told AVP directly. Wouldn't surprise me if AVP trotting Stevenson out for the first snap was intentional trolling. Petty and brilliant. By the time Jerod realized it, it was too late. His response to being asked why he said Gibson would start over Stevenson on the radio in pregame vs Stevenson starting was "coaches decision"
Zero. Absolutely ****ing zero accountability.
Your coach doesn't know what he's doing and that shows up on the field with the players.
Get. His. Ass. Out. Of. Here.
But, but, but Belichick sucks. Cant draft. Cant relate to todays players. His style of leadership has gone the way of the flip phone. The game has passed Bill Belichick by.Still not the Jets who have not been to a super bowl in 56 years and still suck.
Godchaux is clueless
Now, the Patriots have the GM and HC separate as different branches. Like the Jets.Still not the Jets who have not been to a super bowl in 56 years and still suck.
