Not sure why you think it's about what I personally want... It's about what I think the Krafts will actually entertain doing.

Yes I'd love for them to clean house top-to-bottom and for Kraft to come out and fall on the sword for all of it, but I don't live in Neverland, I live in the real world. I know that **** is never happening.
You are the one who suggested a plan to hire a gm over Wolf and keep him around. I don’t see where you qualified it’s not want you think should happen.

We will have the number 1 overall pick and we need be right GM for a trade down,
Giants and Raiders are up.
Do you have any confidence Wolf is the right guy to negotiate that trade down?

Now that I've had time away from the game i can give a bit more perspective. You are never as good as your best game or as bad as your worst. The Patriots just played their worst game of the year BY FAR! Let's keep that in mind. It isn't like they are always this bad. If they were we'd be on our way to 0-17. No one in this game played all that well really and lets give the Chargers some credit. They were on their game that day (outside of a few mistakes).

So no, we are not as bad as we looked that game. Just a bad team that has a lot of work to do that looked REALLY bad that day. Nothing about this game changes how i feel about this team anymore than a surprise upset win would have. They need help everywhere. Maye is still the way and overall has been having a very solid 2nd half of his campaign outside of this game.

It will take a very good draft a good FA period and that same thing repeated the next year for them to turn this around at the earliest. We also need to get some bad contracts off our books. We can over spend for some spots. And not for others. The main thing is let's not get desperate in FA and overspend for the wrong players in the wrong spots. That will only make things worse and it is clear this will not be turned around fast anyway.

As for the coaching, no one believes Mayo is the long term answer. Not me, not you, not the Krafts, probably not even Mayo himself. He probably knows he isn't long for this job and his performance hasn't done himself any favors. Not just the on the field stuff, he's made many preventable mistakes with the media and in the locker room. This doesn't mean he's off the team next year though. We can fire mayo and hire another transition guy who won't be much better. Or we can hire a higher potential coach who will want certain promises made who may not be the coach we want during our rebuild. I doubt we get a premier guy to coach this team right now. They know they will be in for a hard year next year and even if they believe in Maye, that won't be enough to get them here very likely. And by believe in Maye i mean believe he can be good. No one has any reason to believe he's the next Mahomes right now. Not a knock on him. Just there isn't proof at this moment, nor should anyone expect there to be given how raw he is and the situation he's in.

To me this game tells me a few things. In FA we need to invest in the OL. Also considering the bad drafts we've had a new GM regime wouldn't be out of line. And as far as coaching, a new OC at the least seems very reasonable, someone whose philosophy matches up with what Maye can do. And also we need to emphasis to coach Maye to get down. He did better after getting his bell rung a bit, but he needs to play like that all the time from now on.

Won’t happen. The ONLY out for RK I see is to fully give the reins over to Johnathan. Being new management Johnathan can fire and hire whomever he wants. Mayos deal was with RK, not Johnathan(so I assume). Everyone will see right through it, but it’s the only way I see Mayo being fired this year.
No it’s very simple. Kraft literally described himself as a steward of the franchise for the fans.
He can easily say, what is best for the fans is moving on, this was not what we expected and we must make corrections.
If we can’t do the right thing because the owner can’t admit he is wrong, it’s a bigger problem than we realize, and no way he has his kid tell the world he was wrong

I've said in many posts here that if it were up to me, I would blow it all up. I believe I've stated that in most of the scenario type posts I have made. But if you did not see any of those and I failed to mention it on this particular post, then yeah that is my belief/preference.

We are that bad. We have lost to the worst teams in the league.
We have only played 5 games against teams with winning records, lost them all and are 3-8 against non-winning teams.
One win was against a team in the middle of a 10 games losing streak, another in the middle of a 2-10 run. The 3rd was 16 weeks ago.

Why would you be concerned about overpaying for players when we don’t spend all of the cap? We need to acquire players. Passing on good players to have extra cap room we won’t use is stupid.

A good coach will come here if you give him control and an even playing field but it appears Krafts requirements are that you must accept an austerity budget.

Dude, I don’t study your posts. I’m not going to read everything you write to understand why you want to suggest denoting wolf instead of firing him.
I’m just curious if you want to blow it up why you would create a post suggesting demoting and keeping wolf. You positioned it as your idea of a solution.

Then we have a bigger problem because he’s not going to swallow his pride and admit to it. Not after the whole coach in waiting crap, no way.

Yes yes blow it ALL up

That will be determine by his actions not your esp

look at what a number 1 WR can do for your team. Unbelievable play by Nabers. His breakaway speed is insane. Patriots wide receivers look like pop warner players compared to him.

We don't know that, if one thing, he's not dumb.

40 to 7. Now that's simply embarrassing.

Maye clearly has no help.

I didn't think we were going to beat the Chargers obviously. But this is a blowout loss of epic proportions.

Will this finally motivate Kraft to make a change in the offseason?

This team is clearly going nowhere.

Buffalo having nothing left to play for on week 18 does concern me though. I'm thinking we still lose to their second stringers to ensure that #2 overall pick.

Watching other teams today. We are not even playing the same game as these actually professional NFL teams. We are the dregs, and we have made no progress whatever, aside from drafting Drake, in improving this season: none.

We have the worst HC in the league. How can that possibly be acceptable?
