Tomsula won 6 games plus an NFL Europe championship. As bad as he was I would rank him above Mayo at this point.

And Vrabel imo would be a huge mistake and 3ish to 5 years from now we will realize we wasted a huge chunk of Maye's career on some mediocre headcase because we panic hired the most comfortable familiar choice we could.

It's not just availability anymore, like it was a year ago. Now it's availability AND desirability, as in - these people have to actually WANT to come here. They all saw the 'Dynasty' hit job. They all saw this franchise just fall apart this season. They saw this top-10 defense turn into the worst in the league. They saw the inability to put even replacement-level players in place through free agency. They saw them completely tank the draft.

It doesn't matter how much money you're throwing around. They have to want to come here, and right now, you're not getting the pick of the litter. Ben Johnson won't be within 200 miles of Foxboro.

If you get a new GM and the roster is better? Plenty. Offer them the bag and give them a ton of control and a guarantee. It's not hard.

No coach is going to care about "The Dynasty" doc. They want a chance at making big time money and a fair shake at a franchise that they think they can succeed in.

Firing Wolf this year would be better. Hell if you REALLY want to get a new HC, fire Wolf, tell the new HC he can come in with his own GM, tell him he is guaranteed 3 seasons where we can't fire him per his contract, and say we will guarantee pay for 5 years.

He didn't have much choice. But again, we saw what he was once he didn't have all that talent. He would be coming here on a rebuild squad not on some hyper talented team. We need someone who can build something and maintain a standard while that rebuild is coming together. Not someone like Vrabel who will only look good once the team is fail proof.
