Does anyone think there is a chance Mayo is one and done?

You guys do this every week, Mayo isn't going anywhere so why waste time talking about a replacement, they'll make some changes with coaches, but Mayo and Wolf will still be here.

Or he could be a much better coach after the learning curve this year and we win a bunch of games and get into the playoff hunt. This year is a disaster but that doesn't mean the future is also. RK isn't ever selling the team, once he's gone Jonathan will take over so we might as well get used to it no matter how much you want him to sell. Lancerman isn't wrong with his assessment.
He’s not smart enough to be even an average NFL coach, and he will never get another opportunity post-Patriots. I never said RK would sell the team, I said he should. It’s strange that you folks think that I believe my opinion will sway RK. Do you also believe in magic?

Mayo and Covington are scapegoating AVP. But it’s a double edge sword, you can’t do that 2 years in a row

What do we call calamity?
2 score losses, 3 score losses?
Players taking swings at Jerod?
Bone headed coaching decisions?

I think White's comments are because of Covinton. I don't think he hs any respect for him. Covington is not a good DC...

Getting blown out and having the game be a ****show of dysfunction (things like the Meyers lateral from two years ago).

Here's the reality, they are setting an extremely low bar precisely to NOT fire Mayo. Read between the lines. They did this last week when Mayo had a ton of heat on him. He just needed a meh loss to get everyone to shut up.

Realize they don't want to fire Mayo and are giving him every advantage to stay and that there's about a 99% chance he stays and 1% chance that something totally insane goes on over the course of the next two games that would get any coach in the league fired.

He's coming back, just accept that reality now.

An embarrassing home loss today and I think it’s over. Even more so if the Bills need to play for the #2 seed next week.

National media big wigs already setting up AVP to be the scapegoat. I hope the local media stops trying to be so chummy with Mayo and actually asks what’s the logic behind firing one coordinator and keeping the other, when the one getting fired has objectively done a better job.

Because the only answer he’d have for that question is “well he’s my friend”. What a joke.

Its a Matt Eberflus situation all over again , everybody knew he was bad already and the Bears still kept him, result, lost one year of possible good development and Caleb is in a mess it will take years to clean up

Exactly. It will be apparent quickly next year that Mayo is still a disaster and we are gonna lose one year for nothing.

Kraft continues to run this franchise to the ground

This is laughable. Did AVP make the defense regress? What at all did Mayo show that he deserves another year? I just don’t get it

The thing is, even if you were committed to keeping Mayo and just trying to fix things by changing coordinators - you wouldn’t be changing the OC first. While AVP hasn’t been masterful, he’s generally done OK enough working with crap pieces and has developed Maye very well. Conversely, Covington was given almost entirely the same pieces from last year which was a top 10 defense and has had them fall off completely to a bottom of the league defense. Clearly this screams “replace the DC”. Yet somehow all the talk is about the OC, as if the defense is perfectly fine. Really makes no sense.

Totally agree, I don’t get it

Checkin in from the bday party. Why does Maye have so few passing attempts? Just 3 and outs or what?

So glad Maye came back in, Mayo can’t his injury as an excuse for this performance. Hopefully this game is the Kraft’s last straw

Mayo is awful < Optics of firing a DEI hire after year 1
